fiber?

Psyllium Husk can't be digested therefore you get no calories from it.

Right...... I was talking about food.....

Just watch how many of those things you take cuz they can have some "side effects" that aren't pleasant....

we don't have the bacteria to break down the beta 1-4 linkages in cellulose, so it doesn't impact blood sugar...it can dumb down the rate at which other sugars are released into the blood

its like 4 g of fiber per cup of green veggies...
30 g of all bran would have about 12 g of fiber...but there's also sugar/starch :S

I wonder what the hell metamucil uses, soluble/insoluble?

what kind of fiber? soluble or nonnutrient dense cellulose?

What is the reasoning behind that? that fiber goes mostly undigested through your system and your body does not do anything with it???

Think of fiber as little wood chips, scraping down through your intestines, sticking to, and cleaning out all the yuck. It might not be absorbed, but it definitely serves a purpose.

The analogy is harsh sounding (ouch) but it explains a lot!!! Thanks!!!

I like ground cinnamon/cinnamon sticks for fiber. If you add it other things, 1tbsp (7g) cinnamon yields ~4g fiber, and tastes great.
