I have been using lots of canned vegetables lately, mostly peas and carrots, which I add to my eggs in the AM.
Are canned peas and carrots good or ok, bad, so-so???
Also I mixed about 5-6 medium strawberries with my cottage cheese, also I mixed them with my protein shakes. I just want to know if this is ok.
I know that fruits have sugar, but I limit fruits to just strawberries and just eat about (12 medium strawberries) a day.
Please give me you point of view guys and gals...
Thanks..

I guess the term bad would be relative to what you are trying to accomplish. Vegetables and fruits provide good nutritional elements.

If you are trying to cut carbs -- well let me put it this way: those two are referred to in my house as candy!!!! Add to that list corn!

As for canned....peas and carrots are very easy veggies and they tend to keep fresh in the fridge for a while without spoiling.

Canned veggies = LOTS of sodium. Who needs that extra salt in their diet? I stick with fresh or frozen.

Hmmm...What, if any, is the sugar content of the protein shakes you're drinking each day?
