FedEx opened package, then called LE. WTF???

Yeah, it probably depends on the place. I've worked in logistics for a while... since everything is like drop shipped from other countries and manufacterers and all of that jazz there are usually tracking and packinging slips. So if a label on a box gets messed up for some reason or a barcode isnt being read... u open the box get the slip type the shit in and re-print and weigh the package. so it can be opened but like i said, depends who's shipping it.

I'm sure they'll try the usual scare tactics, sounds like they have a weak case. They'll probably try to get you to plead to a lesser charge. I'd stretch it out as long as you can and just wear them out with continuances so you can mount the best defense possible. They will have to prove you had prior knowledge and you personally ordered the stuff. Otherwise, no proof, no case. They have to prove your guilty. But once you beat it, it may piss off some LE people so be careful. I've seen guys beat cases but then overzealous cops just get them on piddly crap, speeding, directional not on when turning, illegal lane change, etc.

In Canada FedEx and ups can open any suspicious package. Canada post cannot open anything no matter what. Don't know if USA reg post is like that but it's good to know when sending unmentionables
