FAT BURNING & SNACK FOODS?????

stunnerman

New member
I have upped my cardio to approx. 3 - 4 hours per week. Altered my weight training for cutting. My question is about diet....

Especially at work - I have started to eat trail mix unsalted, nutrigrain and oatmeal bars when I need to eat something.......

Does this hinder fat loss???? If so what are good snack foods to eat throught the day????

Thanks,

there is probably a lot of sugar in those snack foods, even though the names sound healthy.

snack foods, All Natural Peanut Butter, Raw Sliced Almonds, or any raw nuts. Fat Free cheese slices if you have a fridge. some jerkies might be ok, FF cheese slices I snack on too

Bro, not a flame, but you need to loose those snacks.

You need to make time to prepare quality meals.

Its the old addage, 'if you fail to prepare, prepare to fail!'

Also, its a myth that you need to alter your weight training for cutting.

When I say altering I mean, cutting down the rest-time and moving from excersise to excersize quicker. Basically keeping my heart rate up....

What type of things do you normally bring to work to eat through out the day???
I have been a football player my whole life - now I am trying to get lean, and trying to figure out the best / quickest way to achive what I am looking for.

I thought trail-mix was fine though....

good!

low carb tortillas are great - you can get them at the health food store
raw nuts I already said and FF cheese

I bring a big tupperware to work with black beans, tunafish, tabasco and jalapenos mixed in, melt some FF cheese on top of it in the microwave. I eat a little plate of that in between meals, a whole big can of black beans and 2 cans of tuna is only about 500 calories, it's great for snacking on.

snacks are kind of the hardest part about a bodybuilder's diet because protein bars aren't really that good for you. if you want to get lean, you'll have to prepare/cook a lot of food a couple times per week and just keep it in the fridge for whenever you get hungry. otherwise you'll get sick of cooking and your diet will stray.

there are other snack foods but I can't remember any right now.

You should be eating every 2.5 to 3hr. If you still feel the need to snack, almonds or apples are a good choice.

Tricks of the trade for me include black coffee, eca, or sugarless gum to ward off cravings.
