Fastest Car you have ever been in and/or driven. Highest speed obtained?

70 chevy truck with an 8 cylinder 350 engine. About 95 mph on country roads. In retrospect that was a bad idea.

85 Vette coming back from Florida to NJ on I 95. After 2 weeks of partying with about $40 left to our name. Me and my buddy went 151 on the digital speedometer, then slowed down to 60 mph and POWWWWWW! the rear tire disintegrated at 60. We got lucky that we had slowed down just before that happened or we'd be a distant memory.

It was a Saturday night and we're looking for a spare for a Vette tire! lol They're hard to come by with $40 in your pocket. The first gas station we went to had a used one that sold it to us for like $20. holy shit!!!! Good times.

Never again though.

That's awful!

Not the blowout ... the part about having to leave FL to go to NJ.

Ummmm ... yeah, I don't think so.

It does. I pushed a rental Yaris HB 3 weeks ago on the 401 in Ontario to 170kph (that's around 120mph) and the only thing that stopped me was the lack of straight line. Took me very long to reach 120 but still, the car can do it.

When I was 16 my sister let me borrow her Satellite Sebring Plus. Bad idea. I dont remember the year but I know it had a 383 in it and I remember it being a dog off the line. 140 with my buddy riding shotgun and three chicks in the back. It was pulling for more but I thought the hood was gonna come off so I slowed down. I'm a moron.

The stock Supra wing is both stylish and totally legit. At the speeds you've driven it, you need that downforce.

Now the same wing on a '98 Civic would be rice.
I know but I hated that wing
too rice
the move in auto styling is away from wings etc.
even w/o the wing I can go 160 on a straight course and take my hands off the wheel and she cruises fine
I have eibach springs and KYB struts and strut tower bars
thinking about adding TRD sway bars
but I'm parking her for 6 months
my auto insurance went up to 448/month

It's a matter of ethics, not doing risky things with other people's property.
yeah I understand
my "buddy" borrowed my bronco w/o my permission and totalled it

Hit 160 in a friend's 97 Corvette.
back when my supra was mostly stock
I lost a dual with a late model corvette
it was a friend of mine's and he's a lieutenant in the police force
the chick I was with was driving the supra as I was wasted
we had been at a popular police hang-out bar
