When you first begin to weight train your muscles you need to take it easy. They need to be able to adapt to the new movements and excercises. A mild soreness is good but a very painful tight soreness is a sign the muscles have been worked to hard. Just start out slow and you'll be good to go. At least you won't be as sore next time your train calves. By the way wanna do some jumping jacks?.....lol just kidding. Take care of yourself
lol, at first I thought you were serious about the jumping jacks! No thank you, just took my kids tobagganing and shoveled 3 feet of snow! I think I will skip the jumping jacks today and I will take your advice and not work them so hard next time!
