the biggest problem i see is skinny newbs doing curls in front of the mirror. this isn't the way to build large biceps. it is mostly for mirin oneself only
what i recommend if you want to grow large biceps are weighted pullups and rows first and foremost. save the mirror mirin to later on when you actually have something to look at. really if you are new to weight training you don't even belong in that section of the gym.. you need to be focusing on the 5-8 main compound lifts. bench, squats, deadlifts, pullups, dips, militaries, rows, etc. these are the big boy lifts that build muscle memory
