ephedrine hcl/phentermine and tests

If a doctor was testing you to see if you were still taking ephedrine hcl and/or phentermine does anyboy know what kind of tests would be involved? if there are specific tests or if it would be an amphetamine blood test? and how long would somebody have to be off of them to get a clean result, approximately? I can use any help/input anybody's got to give.....thanks!

Depends on if it is a drug test and how many drugs it screens for...amphetamine is one we used to test for quite a bit.

most standard screens will not detect ephedrine or phen, they would have to look specifically

I know ephedrine and amphetamines in general will clear out in approximately 5 days...they can be detected via blood/urine
