Can i get my EFA's from 1 egg yolk a day, plus 2-4 EFA fish pills? i am cutting so i dont want to eat peanut butter. Also, whenever i take EFA pills, i break out. i am 15 and don't usually break out. Could it be becaue of lack of fat? or just because it is oil?

even though you are cutting I'd say stick with the peanut butter. I'd just take a half tablespoon at a time. You need more fat then what you are taking. Just make sure whatever fat you're getting that it's good fat (any type of unsaturated). If you let me know your weight I can give you a better estimate on how much fat you should get each day.

Peanut Butter is not that great of a source of EFAs. It is mostly rich in monounsaturated fat. Though the monounsaturated fat in peanut butter is good fat it is not an EFA. EFA's are polyunsaturated fats, Omega-3, 6. If you want EFAs get some Udos Choice Oil or some Flax. Even Canola is a good source but get cold pressed unprocessed cannola if you do.

you're right man....peanut butter is not a great source of fats but it's a good source (as long as it's all natural). The best source (IMO) of EFA's is canola oil. Like he said....cold pressed.

Bigmag I agree natural peanut butter is a great source of fat I even said that. However the fats are not EFAs. Just because they are healthy fats (monounsaturated) does not mean they are essential fatty acids. He was asking about EFAs.

well....I can't argue with that....I'm just addicted to peanut butter and canola oil....I love that shit!!!!!
