Eating in Work?

I've recently started a new job after having been at home for months where I was able to prepare meals / eat whatever I liked. Now that I'm working I've obviously got to prepare my food in advance and eat it in the office. Last night I made turkey burgers, and I can buy some stuff in work (like salads, some fish, sometimes chicken). I'd rather avoid eating the stuff they sell though as I can't be sure how they cook everything, but it's there if necessary.

Anyway, my question...... what kinda things do you take to work that can be eaten cold? Just hoping for a little variation rather than eating turkey burgers and bits of chicken everyday.

Thanks for any suggestions anyone can give x

Can you cook sweet/potatoes & eat them cold?
Salads are good... chicken cold really doesn't make a different ..
Apples & walnuts/almonds?
Peanut butter?
Tuna?

No heating up of foods? i.e. micro?

Today I took a turkey burger to eat mid morning, then I had some fish and salad for lunch, almonds mid afternoon then ate when I came home this evening. I didn't think of cooking potatoes and eating them cold, and there's cold rice too. I think the problem I was thinking of was how to avoid the food being too dry.

I was also wondering about protein shakes in work but I think I've just solved that by discovering that it's actually quite pleasant to mix chocolate protein powder into fat free greek yoghurt, that's nice and easy for in work :)

There is a microwave but it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in about a million years, don't know what might start growing on my food for the few minutes it's in there!!

One thing I have noticed since being in an office is the amount of water I drink has probably quadrupled. I think it's the air conditioning, but it might be that I'm so bored drinking for a few seconds seems interesting :)

Duh, congrats on the new job!!! Sorry my head is NOT screwed on tight today

And thanks!! It's not that amazing a job, incredibly boring but I think I'd find most office jobs boring! Beats sitting at home and watching daytime tv all day long, well just :)

Fat free cottage cheese is a good choice for cold food. You can choose to eat it plain, or eat it with fruit like blackberries. Not to mention it's got a good level of protein in it.
