Dumbbell or Cable Weight

When posting or keeping track off how much you lift, do you represent the total amount lifted or each dumbell. For instance if I dumbbell fly a 25lb dumbbel in each hand for 12 reps is that 25 x12 or 50 x12. Also how does that apply for the cable cross overs also.

For the most part people keep track of weights so they can track progression. So as long as you know what youre talking about in the journal its fine. You can list the weight anyway you want to. hwta I do thought is list it li ke this, if I used the 25 dumbells for 12 reps it would look like this.

Set 1: 25 for 12

I record the weight of a single db. But like cheeta said, as long as you're consistent with your recording, it doesn't matter how you do it.
