If you stick yourself and for any reaon have to pull out (blood vessel, nerve, etc.) do yourself a favor and switch the pin. I learned that the hard way today. Ouch.

O.K., so what do you guys do in this situation.......you aspirate & get some blood back in the pin...pull out & switch pins. Now, do you inject the blood back into yourself or waste some of the gear trying to get it out? I inject the blood along with the gear into the new spot, not sure if it's the right thing to do or not but, that's what I've always done.

In the past I'd pull out, new pin, but I may try the pull back and redirect method as it was used on me while I was getting penecillin shots a couple months ago in Spain. It was like 4cc so she'd shoot some in one area then back it out and enter at a different angle for the other half. then again, I haven't shot more than 2cc at a time.
