does drinking slim fast make you gain weight?

Do you guys think having a slim fast with every meal will make me gain weight?
My fast metabolism is just preventing me from gaining weight and it really sucks, so I thought about using this slim fast WITH my meals.

Slim fast will help you gain weight for sure but not the type of weright you want to gain and you will probably feel really bloated and gassy while using it. Read the ingredient list. It's full of sugar, artificial colors, sweeteners, flavours and preservatives.

I personally would get a high quality protein powder and make your own lean mass gain shake. It'll be much cheaper, and provide much more nutrients then slim fast or any other type of meal replacement shake.

All protein powders are not created equal. You really need to be a smart consumer in today's market and do your research. Look at the ingredient list and supplements fact panel on every supplement before buying it.

For a whey protein - you want to see nothing but that in the ingredients list. Whey protein, natural flavours, a natural calorie free sweetener like stevia and then maybe some salt, soy lechitin and cocoa powder. There are a lot of good products on the market. I personally use isolation from n2bm.com. A good whey isolate should be pretty much fat and carb free. Isolation has 26g protein, 1g carb, 0g fat per 30g scoop.

Buy a high quality blender and blend together the following:
2 scoops of a high quality whey protein isolate
oatmeal
natural almond butter or peanut butter
frozen fruit
banana
ice
chia/flax seeds
spinach/kale

You can easily make a double recipe and drink 1/2 for breakfast and 1/2 after your workout

Its the calories in vs calories out, training and resting that matters in the end.

Too little calories - losing weight.

Too much calories - overspill and fatgain.

Simple as 2+2, aye?

If you want to gain weight, don't use all those fancy products like the slim drink or the muscle milk. They will indeed make you gain weight, but be sure that it is not going to be lean mass that you will have.

For a healthy way of gaining weight that will be clean from fats and water retention, better use a good old whey protein. It is rather easy to choose a good one - just make sure it is made with whey isolate, has no sweetners, or additives. Personally, I would recommend the Isolation - it is 100% whey isolate (the purest form of whey protein), has no artificial sweetners, or any other stuff that you do not need. Yet, it tastes pretty awesome (especially the Colombian Espresso), and it has a very decent price tag.

Yes, it will make you gain wait if you add it to your meals. This is because you will be adding a lot of calories to each meal . The problem is that you will likely just add fat to your body. There are much better options like a whey isolate shake, bigger portions of your meals, nut butters, etc that you can use instead. Better to stick to whole clean foods.
