Does anyone else think the new format of the boards sucks?

What is the "forum jump" you're talking about?

Toward the bottom right of every page, there is a scroll down menu labelled "forum jump"; it lets you go to any other forum. On the old board, you couldn't access this from the control panel. also, there is a quick links menu on the upper right that takes you to the some of the control panel actions directly. not a major change, but nice.

i also like the fact that you can do a search from any page now.

Used to fill my screen now things are squished to the middle.

Things look ok on my computer, but if the letters are all cramped together, that does sound annoying

And what's with the "similar threads" at the bottom? That's real useful...show me posts from 3 years ago...great

The new names are a bit illegible, too. I guess nothing's perfect, but, overall, if the performance kinks are worked out, I think the new look is a net improvement.

HATE IT! My password was reset (evidently) so I had to reset it again. Then, when I logged in it sent me back to the login page (several times)...so I WASN'T really logged in. It made me put in my password again to post this reply.

What was wrong with the boards before? I liked them just fine.

I think its fine.

However there is a LOT of extra space on the pages ... I prefer things a bit more condensed. Just my personal preference ...

However I think its very useable and friendly. I think GS and EF made a good move.

Trust me, they wouldn't have done this unless there were a lot of good reasons. Changes like this are not easy, and it seems to be going well so far.

i keep noticing new features -- like the easier-to-read quoted text and the simpler process for adding attachments. Of course, it's always difficult to learn something new, especially when you have developed old habits, but change is a good thing! People used to say that computers were cumbersome and unnecessary when typewriters worked fine, but look at all the wonderful things they can do now.

Yah man, I have been on the board for a few years and so far I hate it! My K points are gone too and very very slow!!!!!

one thing I notice is the feature that after you post you're redirected to the forum....as it is now you go back to the thread....
