No joke, I haven't eaten at a fast food joint in almost 2 years, but I DO go to their websites and look at their food....kind of weird huh? I guess thats the way I get my fix, I get so hungry looking at the pictures and then go down a can of tuna. :evil:

Would you consider a burrito from chipotle junk food? I have a weakness for pepperoni pizza and bacon cheeseburger w/ fries.

I don't think those are deep fried (hence the chicken "bake"). However, the dressing and carbs will kill you because at least at my costo those things are huge (they sell smaller versions to cook at home in the frozen food section).
 
I can honestly say that I dont even remember what fast food looks like....let alone tastes like. Its been soooo long...and it will stay that way. Once I started eating clean, gross fast food makes me wanna YACK!!!!!
 
i barely enjoy 'normal' food anymore, and when i do i end up feeling like someone socked me in the gut. Somedays i just eat tuna all day, shovel and go. Those days are few and far tho, on account of the assy taste. But to answer the question, pizza with everything on it.
 
I don't think subway is that bad, the bread is the only realll bad part. I get Oven Roasted Chicken Breast with double meat, no cheese, no dressing, all vegetables. I eat this almost daily for lunch. It is 80g carb, 90g prot, 10g fat.

I've lost almost 20% bf since dec 04.

Also, on the weekends, I usually drink at least a 12 pack of beer, have some pizza, or white castle with friends while playing xbox 360, darts, or pool and then follow it up with some Waffle House in the morning. Mon-Fri I eat pristine clean though.

Hellz no! The closest ill come to fast food is Boston Market. Its fast but all natural. 1/2 rotisserie all white,skinless chicken, two sides and im good to go ;)
 
pollo loco at least once a week. like boston market too. but those places probably not so bad. got a thing for del taco macho nachos. course i can eat whatever i want and still look like my avatar. :o
 
I went a few months without any fast food then decided to hit up jack in the box one day. Next day I had the liquid shits. Haven't ate fast food since.

For any of you in California, In N Out has a protein burger (beef patty wrapped in lettuce) that is cooked fresh and delicious. That is the only thing I'll eat when I'm craving a "fast food" type of meal.

I haven't since about 8yrs ago when I started competing in BB then PL. Now if I eat that stuff since my body is so 'clean' - it just about kills me. :)
 
i eat some fast food about once a week. usually some chicken tenders or a burger of some sort. being miserable half the time while eating clean, i feel like wtf am i doing it for if i cant enjoy myself now and again. having a cheat meal every so often actually helps that metabolism ramp back up once its adapted to eating so clean. i find it ti be quite beneficial. an interesting lil read from t-nation: http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=230cheat2

fast food goes right thru me. it can really upset your stomach, all that grease.
 
I've had fast food 1 time this year and it send me straight to the bathroom. Ran right through me. I honestly dont' see how people do it multiple times a week, even when I was a fat person (think size 42 pants) I didn't eat fast food multiple times a week.
 
i work for mcdonalds so i eat there 5 times a week
i try to stay away from the fries and burgers
i have the grilled chicken salad 2 peices chicken
vinagret dressing
good shit
 
i am on the road quite a bit too....and being on-call 24/7, its hard to always have my lunchbox all packed up and ready to go when i gotta jet.....so if i have to, i'll stick to subway wraps....i always go turkey wraps with real mayo and olive oil.....they are 160cals/20pro/8carb/6fat/13fiber/1g sodium. so if you eat two of those, you can stay on your bulking schedule ok.....

the chicken wraps are almost double the above.....now if you add bacon, you spike the fats (esp. saturated)....not cool

some folks almost have to eat fastfood to bulk up
 
I can understand why some people eat fast food when with work colleagues. I imagine if you took something healthy like brown rice mixed veg ect to work alot of people would look at you in a strange way, especially the people who smoke drink tea all day and eat everything that's bad.

I'm happy to say that I am now fast food free. Been over a month... I have watched my brother suck down a couple quarter pounders w/chesse with large fries while sitting at my desk eating my chicken and veggies. Make me wanna puke watching him eat that stuff now.
 
I have had fast food once in about 45 days.... Had a grilled chicken wrap from Sonic which is not healthy.

I feel really good about it... Almost feels like an accomplishment!! LOL
 
I eat fast food ALL the time. It's amazing when you do your first bulk. I'm currently eating weightgainer and oatmeal in water, and salmon with some mayo right now. Fast food isn;t close as bad as some of you seem to think.
 
mcds dollar menu once a day sometimes more

double cheeseburgers have 23g protein / sand.

im only 155 ish so ill eat anything i dont care what it is
 
Ive had a couple Wendys $1 chicken sandwiches, plain with nothing on them. Ive cut out everything else though...So I guess its not TERRIBLE....but its a huge step lol. I sell cell phones in a mall so the only thing I have to eat there is fast food, making it through a day with a protein shake is rough....
 
I'm addicted to wings. I try to stay away from them but every two weeks i go out to quaker steak & lube for all you can eat wings or to bw3 for some boneless wings with ranch dressing. so bad for you. but peer pressure is hard to stay away from. :{

For that matter, you'll be a little paranoid about eating meat from the grocery store all together.

Just a little example of what the book describes. . . . . . .

- your typical fast-food burger contains meat from about 1000 different cows.

- that same burger probably has a teeny weeny little bit of cow poop in it. Yep - you read that correctly.

- workers at the slaugherhouses are forced to work in the most inhumane of conditions (ex: cut off your finger and better get back to work or lose your job) (ex: #2: women discriminated, even raped).

- ever wonder why all that food smells so good? It all has perfume in it. Yup, french fry perfume, burger perfume. . . .it's ALL got perfume.

I'm not trying to spoil the fun of driving through the drive through every once in a while, but, for a variety of reasons . . . . .just do your body a favor - stay away from fast foods.

NO--If i want some shitty food i let my wife cook,lol. Really what i do is make somthing myself, cheat meal like lemon chicken wich is coted in floar and cooked in red onion/garlic, lemon, and a 1/2 stick of butter...clog my arteis up nice !!!!!!! but taste Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat !
 
fast food for me is take out sushi or chicken korma and cauliflower from an indian place.

my food tastes tend to run the "exotic" so I am not too tempted by a big mac or fries.
 
subway once in a while... will eat others too if i cant find clean as eating something is better than missing a meal for ectos...

None of Subway's breads are wholegrain. They contain sugar and many additives that aren't really good for you.

Most of Subway's meats are high in sodium, MSG and preservatives.

The cheeses are all processed.

Subway is a big lie.
 
Gotta admit that Subway is better than most fast food places.

The last time I ate at a fast food restaurant, I had to stop at a service station thanks to a little GI distress. I'm not used to eating such greasy food.
 
OK, subway Australia has added avocado to their veggies.

Finally, although the chicken is probably somewhat processed, as far as macros goes, the double meat, roasted chicken salad with no dressing but avocada as the healthy fat is an excellent substitute for a home prepared meal! Prior to this, the salad option was too low in calories.
 
Only time would be right after the gym if I can't get my hands on food right away for whatever reason and I need kcals and some sort of protien or insulin spike I will slam some quick burgers or chicken burger if it's close and I need a PWO.

other than that never and I try to avoid that too
 
I just ate an Asian salad with grilled chicken from McDonald's. Not bad at all. Only 340 calories, including the dressing.
 
I love how Subway is portrayed as healthy. Its a loaf of processed bread that has no nutritional value and crappy nitrate filled lunch meat that will probably have Jared dead of cancer well b4 he would have died of heart disease from being a whale.
 
I wish I did'nt ,this is the hardest thing for me I try to eat good fast food (if there is such a thing) like grilled chicken or subway.But I eat on the go and Im always in a hurry. I know this is killing my progress and It would make the biggest change for me if I could just eat clean.....
 
Very very rarely. Been making sure to go to teh supermarket once a week to avoid. If unavoidable i get grilled chicken and just throw away any bread that comes with it.
 
I eat 2 Bean Burritos, lite sauce, Xtra cheese once per month. That's it. nothing more. That is my cheat....Ya baby, Taco Bell!!!!!
 
Sometimes if I feel like I have stuck to my diet all week, I will take a day on the weekend and have a pizza which really isn't that bad for you
 
food no longer comforts me, it's about what my body needs, and something is better than nothing.

Wendys: Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Wrap, or a plain Triple - never get cheese.
BK: Whopper's, Jr's, Doubles, Triples, again no cheese, no mayo.
McD's: sausage egg and cheese mcmuffin, no cheese...I have the nuggets if I hit em for lunch.
Chik-Fil-A: I rather have the original breast than the grilled because the sodium affects me more than the fat content.. Fat = Calories aka Energy aka Fuel for Growth.
Subway: WW, Breast, All the greens, no dressings, mayo, etc..or cheese.

I go to other restaurants that are semi-fast food but they are more like chicken kitchens, and and shorty's bbq, etc.. so I do have lean options, I also eat a lot of cuban restaurants (im in miami) and they have shit like rice and beans, dead grilled animals, steamed veggies, etc..

I think there is too much hype on the types of breads, and the sugar content blah blah blah.. Cut out the excess fat, mayo, cheese, dressings, etc.. 30g of protein from lean beef, should be about the same as 30g of protein from ground raccoon toes feel me? I may be wrong, and the Tren could be skewing my opinion.

This thread is just a large pissing contest for people to brag about how little fast food they eat. If you are exercising regularly and like the taste, its ok once in a while. Others will say they dont' touch fast food but eat subway once a week? Thats fine but wtf who are you kidding?

As for the fast food nation crowd - you can find something wrong with everything if you try hard enough or have an agenda. Do you know animal poop is used to fertilize vegetables/fruit, or that uncooked vegetables are often a huge source of e coli and other bacteria (also covered in all types of pesticides that may or may not be cleaned off easily)? Did you know that there are trace amounts of toxic chemicals in the air most of you breathe? Or that the water you use today is the same water once used and defecated into by dinosaurs? Don't even get me started on what they do to animals before they are butchered.

My recommendation is that in addition to avoiding fast food, you also stay away from vegetables, fruits, meats, air, and water at all costs!:)
 
I'll do McDonalds once every six months or so just to remind me the rest of the time why I don't go there. My down fall is pizza which I will buy a pie once a week usually fridays or saturdays and eat the left overs the next day. I am all grilled chicken,egg whites, ground beef, steaks, oatmeal and shakes during the week though.
 
once a week i either go to a buffet on the weekend, or get a bunch of cluck-u hot wings, or a pizza. havent had mcdonalds, burgerking, or chinese food in over a year though

I ordered 6 hamburgers and 6 cheese burgers from mc donalds yesterday.. I ate 4 burgers with 3 patties each.. so only 3 buns. I love when I wake up the day after I eat like a slob and the scale is down 3lbs.. buahahaha.. 201lbs
 
I just dominated a 14" pep. pizza after soaking most of the grease off the top, just to make me feel a bit better. I did legs today, and can barely walk so I thought I deserved it. And it's Friday
 
god i miss taco bell!!!!!!! i havnt had any soda or fast food in maybe a year....I went to applebees the other day and ate double tilapia w steamed veges with no seasoning while i watched the wifey scarf down onion rings and nachos n shit...that bitch lol
 
I still get fast food all the time even when i'm dieting more strictly, BUT i make good choices and the real bad stuff is rare. If i don't treat myself once a week then i feel so deprived. When I say good choices, I mean like McD's Grilled Honey Must Wraps with a (99cent no cheese) burger. Every now and then i'll stop and get two Egg McMuffins for breakfast with no hashbrowns. I love those damn things. Although the mcd's on the way to work just hired some girl that has a beard, so good for my diet!
 
I wont lie i eat it regularly but cause im too skinny age 17 and weigh only 59kg i dont really mind cause i want to put on weight anyway but its really unhealthy the amount of SALT in one meal of KFC McDonalds etc are enough yet alone gainin weight

It's funny, I remember reading this thread back when I joined and, at the time, I was strictly against the thought of eating fast food. Now that I'm on a CKD, I can't wait to go destroy some pizza and chinese food Saturday. I'd really like to go get 2 quad stack burgers at Burger King, but I can't take in that much fat on the refeed.

And when I bulk over the summer? I'm going to be chugging ice cream and burgers all day long. Fat and protein = anabolic power!
 
I eat at fast food places, but I order the healthier foods. At McDon. I usually get a side salad w/ lite dressing, grilled chicken sandwich w/out the mayo, etc. I never at at fast food places where there is a lack of "good" choices.
 
Pizza is a big one for me. I dont go to wendy's, taco bell(even though i love chalupa shells), I especially dont go to Mcdonalds or burger king...GROSS!!! I hate subway too. I'de rather get chicken pizza than any other crap. If I had to stop at a fast food joint, it would be Arby's for a crispy chicken, bacon, swiss sandwich. But its been a year at least. IF I drink any soda its root beer. But thats pretty rare.
Big pizza guy though. Not pizza hut. I like non chain fresh "real" pizza. Always get lots of meat on it.
 
Local KFC style chain once a week to reward myself, chips (fries) and freshly made chicken burger. You actually watch them season it, bread it and fry it yourself, and they seem to have a good reputation so Im assuming the free range hallal meat sign isnt BS. I can easily taste the difference in the quality of the meat between this and a KFC burger.

Other than that, the monthly payday steak and birthdays/weddings, I stick to the same tuna pasta/chicken potatoes/omellete toast/GOMAD every day.
 
i used to love mcdonals and taco bell and sub world but now i just think its gross. i always had a feeling of eating cardboard or something when i ate taco bell and sub way. i dont even like deli meats anymore. and whatever kind of shit is in subways meat just doesnt feel right. kinda hard to explain.

anyone get sandwiches from quick check?? the buffalo chicken is crazy and none of their food is really fast food but its just as cheap
