Do you see this at your gym?

There are alot of big guys at my gym, alot of juicers, I don't have anything against that and plan to do it myself later on, but;

It seems like no one is getting bigger. The big guys are maintaining their size, that is it. They come in, follow the exact same routine EVERY week, NEVER keep a training log, etc.

I know one, all I see him do is his chest and back workouts, I guess he comes to the gym when I am not there, but it just seems like the same people do the same stuff all the time. No one cuts or bulks or any of that. It is not possible to go to my gym and give someone a compliment like "man you're getting bigger" or "man you're really leaning down," many of them are huge, but are the exact same size as when I first saw them. Its like they are all just fooling around.

I'm not trying to put anyone down, I hope to look as good as some of them when I am that age, but I have actually changed my workouts around alot and have got compliments for losing some fat and gaining a little mass. Why is it that people come in and just take a shot in the dark? Why don't they add variety to their training.

I know what you mean. I train like a MOFO, and I'm definitely in the minority, (and NOT just because I also happen to be female). It may not be "ladylike", but I enjoy pushing myself hard, and I do clean up nice! :)

We all know about the ladies who do 1001 squats holding 5 lb dumbbells and still have flat pancake butts, but there're also a lot of men who just go through the motions, never breaking a sweat or uttering a grunt.

I see these same people day in and day out doing the same thing. It drives me crazy just seeing it, I can't imagine how they must feel actually DOING it.

A lot of these people go to the gym EVERY DAY for hours at a time and wonder why they're not improving. They're dumbfounded that I never go more than 4x a week and say I'm just "lucky". They don't believe me when I say luck has nothing to do with it; it's really just INTENSITY and PORTION CONTROL! (but no one wants to hear that...)

Another thing is, many who do have grueling workouts, talk so much in between sets, its like it kills their intensity. I see that all the time. Everyone there is chatting to someone else even while in the middle of a rep soemtimes, granted this is a small town, in dixie land, and the only serious lifters are the ones who train at that gym, so I guess thats why.

I lived in Souther Indiana before moving here, on the other side of the mason-dixon line I guess you could say, I went to a gym about the size of a Gold's. People were in and out of there all of the time, everyone only knew a handful of people, here it is like EVERYBODY knows EVERYBODY.

i think everyone's gym has a couple of guys like that. I know this one guy who is shit without gear. I gets really huge when he's popping d-bol and deca but when he gets off he shrinks. Alot of these guys walk around with huge bloated stomachs with their abs sticking out. I think i work out harder than a lot of those guys but I don't have the chemical assistance to get as huge as they are. Too many guys get lazy while on gear and i think they rely too much on it. Oh well, thats the way it is i guess.

You know what, I hate to say this, but I can't wait 'til I can get to that size without as much effort. I'm already a bigger guy, and a work horse in the gym. I know I put in more time and effort than a lot of those guys, but I don't have the results because I'm not juicing........yet.

Garza where is your GYM it sounds exactly like mine!!!!!!
hehehe I know what you mean I go to two gyms I do upper body in the gym that is closest to my house 4 days out of the week but come friday I go to a small gym with my friend and we work the hell out of our legs.

hehe soundslike me, i drive an hour to work legs at coffie's gym in marieta ga a few times a month cause when i am into the legs don't speak to me i might tear off your head on accident, i get ill on leg day, so i go to a very old style intense gym for it. not that my gym in swuanee isn't cool i just don't want folks there to think i am prick since i work there the rest of the time heheh

The problem is that people are too lazy to read and learn. They want a body everybody is dreaming about but they don´t know how to achieve it, they just think they do. When a circle doesn´t fit in a square, the human curiosity makes us finding it out why it is so, this unfortunately doesn´t happend in the gym for most people.

There a sad example at my gym, he goes there 3 days/week, he does the same excersises every single time and he has not gained anything(no leg day either). Once we helped eachother out on the inclinebench and I tried to give him a hint that he´s not doing it right. He asked me if I work out a lot (he´s seen me gain alot last winter) and I said 4days/week, then I asked him how often he works out and he said 3days/week. Well it could work if you split it up working diffrent musclegroups each time, and he went all quiet. He still hasn´t changed his routine.

Would that be a legal reason to bitchslap him?

Roadbloak, in regards to your post, i tend to live by this creedo.

"There ain't no cure for the dumbass"

Some people just don't get it.

there are these rich kids from the catholic high school in my town who goto park i know them and they treated me like shit when i went there ,they all remembered me as the short fat kid who weighed about 130 or so,now im 176 not fat and they kinda gock when i workout, they see me doing real lifts from over in the machine room where they are working those ares and abs 4 days a week and sometimes 2 times a day,one kid comes in about 5 does arms then back in around 8 while im working out doing those arms again
