Do You?...Even just a little

Okay, so I just posted for diet help, and got some great suggestions from Spatts and everyone alike. I have a question though. When that little demon called "pms" comes creeping around do you ever have a bit of chocolate? I have been satisfying my sweet tooth with 1 mini reeses peanut butter cup, or a sugar free candy of some sort. Is this a MAJOR no, no? Thanks.

cookies

at 10:00PM last saturday night, i had a major break down and baked a batch of chewy chocolate chip cookies. they were gone sunday morning. the boyfriend ate half...so only half a batch of cookies is still clinging to my ass.

i claim temporary insanity....aka PMS

I'll eat a cookie a day or eat a handful of those .10cent chocolates (bite size reeses peanut butter cup, butterfinger, etc.) - or both.

Doesn't matter if it's prior to a cycle or not. A wee bit a day ain't gonna kill me.

Something to think about: a woman's metabolism will speed up dramatically prior to a menstual cycle. Hence the feeling to eat more. During this time, what I'll do is eat more. I actually add another meal or snack time during the days prior. This way, my energy levels remain at a even level.

And that brings something else up: mood levels. Your mood levels may need a kick in the pants during this time. Excercise can do this. But so can chocolate. :)

pudding

velvett - when you make the pudding, do you use two cups of milk or do you ever use water?

i love the chocolate fudge flavor, and i've always been tempted to try substituting a cup of water for a cup of the milk, but i'm always scared of ruining it.

Yup, when dieting, I give myself 1 1/2 days off each month. I try to stick to mainly low fat/high carb stuff, but occassionally I give in completely and eat pizza :) Does a body good if it's done infrequently IMHO.

I don't have too many cravings since I started taking 5-HTP, but when I did, I would allow myself one Lindt truffle ball per day. They only have 8 grams of carbs, and if I froze them and nibbled them slowly, I could make them last. The mint or white chocolate flavors are to die for!

As I've said before, my life wouldn't be worth living without chocolate chip cookies, no matter how good I looked. So I have a few every day. They're very small, but they're always fresh-baked (I keep the dough in the fridge), so a little goes a long way on the satisfaction scale. For me it works better having a small treat every day than by doing cheat meals or cheat days.

I use skim milk plus from parmalat (yes, it's regular skim milk) because it's more like 2% than skim.

Never tried water - I guess it's worth a try.

:)
