do u guys use weight belts

No belt. I used one when I first started training. I quickly learned that it was not necessary and broke myself of the habit. I have been belt free for three years now and I would like to thank my family and friends for all their support.

I find unless you are using over 80% of your max weight you shouldn't use a belt, over time the reduced stress in your back will amke your back and abs significantly weaker than your legs, this will cause even more back pain or heavier reliance on the belt.

i use it for squats and deadlifts..thos lifts scare the hell outta me..so that belt gives me an extra shred of courage.

I usually lift with a belt because I have a couple crushed discs in my lower back. But, if my back was good to go I wouldn't use one.

Never even put one on untill a bud and me dressed up as Hanz and Franz for Halloween a couple years ago. Haven’t put one on since, although after my last deadlift day I’m thinking about maybe trying one.
