Hi all

i love working out especially when i have that raw energy...what bugs me and gets me down are those days that you go there and are lifting up to 10 pounds or more less than what you normally can

what are you average diets to give you good energy and not feel lethargic?

as per usual i will see alot of well informed replies

thanks in advance

There is no average diet for good energy..

diet depends on your body weight and stats...

but i get your question...in a way..

try adding a carb meal before you go to to the gym or use an energydrink or supplement but there is know average diet. a good diet is evenly spaced out meals with even macros...

somedays are just bad, maybe ur stresseed, not enough sleep, poor hydration etc.

thanks guys

will try it

thought it was only me lol

Sometimes that carb meal crashes you in the gym. You get the blood sugar spike and drop. The carb meal isn't all that necessary because you have so much glycogen storage you don't need the extra.

I would try your whey like usual and a handful of almonds. Some caffeine if that's your thing. This workout will be better than the carb meal, gatorade, or surge.

The carbs pre-workout just don't seem to get it done quite right. I don't like them before running either. If I run a long run I will have some midway, but we are way to concerned about glycogen storage and carbs for energy. Lifting barely puts a dent into the glycogen stores by the way. That's why the goal of PWO is actually to push the protein into the muscles via the insulin spike, but glycogen recovery is just a secondary result. It actually would recovery on it's own later anyway.

Check out Cassandra Forsythe for some comments on that.

well it depends on the carb meal your eating

i dont spike my insulin levels pre training.. i usally have a yams/chicken 1.5-2hours before the gym and if i do cardio its after training...

i dont understand the point of eating just fat (alomonds pre workouts thats incomplete meal imo)
