Opinions? I'm on a small budget, and it's difficult for me to get steak and stuff in here, but I manage to get in chicken. I'm 180 lbs, 5'11.5" with a mediocre metabolism. My lifting coach tells me that if you have a slower metabolism you don't need as many calories because you will be given food over a longer period of time. As long as I'm hitting 200 grams of protein a day, and at least above 2000 calories I should grow fine. This is a general outline. I may eat more in one day depending on my mood.
 
1) what are your goals long/short term?
2) what is your bodyfat %?
3) what kind of foods CAN you afford?
4) can you afford proteinfactory.com 's protein mixes? (probably the cheapest way to go)
5) why so many carbs in your diet when you say you have "mediocre metabolism"? that's a road to high fat gain

1. Increase size and strength some more. Nothing major. Not an athlete or bodybuilder. Just want to look a bit better than the average Joe and keep in shape.

4. How much is it? The protein powder I get now is very effecient in both price and availibility
5. I'm a mesomorph - so mediocre, yes? Also though, I only just started drinking a gallon of cold water a day (supposed to help metabolism slightly) and eating 8 small meals instead of 3 large ones, which definitely boosts the metabolism. I find myself hungry even after 8 meals.

I can drop the carbs slightly, but I know they're needed somewhat for energy anyway.
 
Hey bro..you aren't getting any solid protein until 10:30.......1st meal needs to have a fair amount....crucial! Also, is that 2 pizzas I see at 3pm? Yeah, we need your goals as bf stats.....
 
Why drop the milk?

BF Goals, not interested in gaining too much on the stomach if I can avoid it.

It's 2 SLICES of sicillian pizza, not 2 pizzas.

drinking water does not boost the metabolic rate
