Diet advice please??

My stats are 5'8 160lbs a little under 8%BF Is a clean 4000Calorie and 250G protein diet sufficient to put on weight? should it be more cal? more protein? Thanks.
 
it depends on your body. its to hard to say. plus you only mention 2 of the 4 important things. what about carbs and fats? how many meals per day? whats your body type? how long have you been on this diet and are you growing now?

Fats are around 30G ED and carbs are around 300 i eat 3 meals +3Shakes I've had a hard time gaining weight over the 5 yrs i've been working out i started at 5'8 115 lbs and im now 5'8 160 lbs 8% BF And i just started the diet a week ago, I've put on a 2 lbs so far.

just stick with it and see how you gain. if you are gaining then its ok. if you are gaining to much fat ( i doubt you are) then you need to reduce the cals by cutting carbs. remember as you grow you need to add food to. figure out how mant of every macro you are eating per lb of body weight in a day and keep it there. there are a lot of other things that come into play but this is the basics. the whole idea here if you are building muscle is to figure out how to metabolise more food. to more you can eat and make good use of the better off you will be. a lot of people wonder how the hell i can eat 7000 cals in a day. i eat all day and night long but its not just the macros that are important. all different vitamins and minerals come into play to. also mega loading on carbs to speed up your metabolism. you have to figure it all out. it took me years good luck
