DEADS... deads.... and more deads.......

Do you guys use a wide grip or narrow?

My ex-trainer used to insist on narrow, but I find that wide works my lats more.

Try not to use the straps on all your sets. Work forearms seperately 2 times per week, you can get them to catch up to be able to hold the 315 for 10 pretty easily. Though once you get up in the 500lbs range, You are going to need a lot of forearm strength to do that for reps. Sure Franco could but most of us arent him. I use one hand underhand grip and use a strap on that hand for heavy lifts and not on the overhead griping hand. I try to switch off to stay in balance. This helps me to go heavy and still be gripping the bar, at least partially.

I have been doing them for a couple months now
{well I have actually done them on and off for years}...I usaually do 315 for 15...How many reps do you guys think I could do with 405 ?...No straps here...I have done 5 before but thats a couple years ago...

Damn I need to start doing deads then. i have back pain and shoulder pain. I have to lift alot at my new job and I go to bed with a sore back every night.

Anything on the internet that shows proper form for dead lifts? Its been since my football days in high school since I did any deads.

I've never been a big believer in tonnes of deads.

I base my back workouts around barbell rows, and chins, but I still do deads every other week.
