Now, all jokes aside, I know you were just trying to stir up some trouble on the boards. Thats always fun. But this is a bodybuilding and fitness board. Almost all serious lifters come here to talk to others who share common goals. Let's face it, not many people care about being in shape, let alone an 800lb squat, or a 250lb ripped muscular body. This is a haven for us to come to. When you talk smack on those that deadlift, and say most who do are fat, round or any other bs, even if just for fun, you aren't stirring up trouble, you are just becoming another troll.

Hmmm... wait a minute how would deadlifts make someone fat? They add muscle mass quite well, thus should speed up one's metabolism. Shouldn't they do the opposite? Hmmm...

1. actually.. i do think that prolly 80% of the ppl on here do care about being in shape.. maybe not an 800lb squat.. but being in shape..

secondly.. in a sense i am contributing to their overall physical development and knowledge thereof as i am spurring independent thinking on the exercises that they do or don't do or might be doing but not liking or might like but not be doing or blah blah blah..

so.. no.. i'm not a "troll" (no matter what definition you might be using describe such).. and no.. i'm not "just" stirring up shit..

it's a fitness board.. if i were to come on here and stir a debate about how people should not bench press, no matter what logic, flawed or not, i have behind my argument, i am indeed actually being an effective contributing member of the board as debate and discussion spur thought and emotion and allow those to read takes on subjects that they otherwise would not see or hear or read....

Yeah, got back and read. I was implying that the idea of deadlifts making one fat was rather silly.

Yes I do. Hit a new pr on stiff-legged this morning. Finally got 405 for 5 reps. Deadlifts are the bomb. If you are doing them, you aren't growing as fast as you could be.

bbf.. don't take part of my argument out of context.. i said that those that do deads just do them as a reason to eat more because they're too lazy to maintain an effective diet.. or something like that.. anyway.. i never said that deadlifts are a direct cause of obesity..

Ok fair enough. I haven't looked at the other thread, only reading what people quote. I do disagree with the guys who pig out, eat shit and don't watch their diet while bulking. So on that ONE issue we agree.

You look decently lean...you don't do any kind of cardio or gym work do you...because that would just be the LAZY way to stay lean. If you weren't so lazy you could maintain an effective diet and stay lean.

Also...edited to add...I deadlift because I want to squat 1,000 and pull 800 someday...AND make it to the Worlds... It has nothing to do with women, how pretty I am, or my iq.
