Dead question

I'm probably gonna get torn up in flames for this question, but here it goes. Before my meet I was training for two different things cleans/deadlifts the same day. What I was doin to improve my cleans was front squats(quad workout) and to improve my deads nothin straight just good mornings. Well it turns out that in 4 weeks I put 60lbs on my total. Now I know i'm young and I make gains quick, but that's pretty quick after I've been liftin for 6 months hardcore. Now here's the thing what if workin your normaly muscles for squat/dead glutes, hams, low back. But what if your quads actually have somethin do with the pull. I mean like HANN told me once your strong side is your back side. Well I thought that workin quads by doin front squats helped me. Besides for myself does this make any sense or have any truth for someone else.

Are you freakin serious! Just kiddng. I know that there are some strong sqautters out there that still train there quads and they are a part of the squat , how much i don't know. I do know that if you take a look at all the great squatters they will all have Huge hams on them dominating the quad.

Ye i mean i stil do hams and glutes but I really don't have any machines for that. Coach took out the low pulley so there go pullthroughs and plate slides I didn't think were doin nethin. So i just got a leg curl machine and thats about it. And I don't do those for a whole 6 week routine so i thought i'd experiment with other stuff and front squats worked for me.

THIS MIGHT SOUND EVEN DUMBER

do you think this would work for a glute/ham raise machine. I load up the leg curl machine with a shit load of weight like 180lbs or so I know I can't leg curl this and it's over my bodyweight so what I do it set up like i'm gonna do a leg curl then just go back like if it was a glute/ham raise machine. I wonder if this would even work I mean it sounds like it could. I'm gonna try it on tuesday. Sound good?????

I'd like to know too because I don't have a glute/ham at my house.I do the 2"x10" over the rack for reverse hypers though.

place a bench facing away from the side of your rack....place the pin just above the bench....kneel on the bench facing away from the rack....fix your feet under the pin....then lean forward...and curl yourself back up......a bit rough on the knees...but you have to do the best with what you got.

Well that might work but I don't have a power rack in the weight room or any places for pins so I'll invent somethin if the leg curl machine idea doesn't work. I'll have to get a lil more ghetto than i already am.

We do ours like Hannibal except we put the bench in the rack and use green bands suspended from the top to help a little at the bottom. Absolutely kills the hams!!!

You might could load up a bar to say...315 and set it on the floor and put your feet under it. Maybe use a pair of 25's to hold the bar from rolling fwd.
