Day After Shot Pins & Needles In Legs

Did a shot yes. in my glutes and today while I was playing football it felt like I had 100's of needles going into my fuckin legs like when your leg falls asleep. And it didn't start til playing for an hour or so. I am pretty sure this happens sometimes because I know this has been brought up before but I couldn't find it. Should I be worried or is it nothing?? Also in the future should I stop playing and doing something like ________?? By the way, after about 15 minutes of ending this numbness feeling went away. Reason for not stopping was because I Just didn't want to explain to everyone what was happening as this is not common to everyone not using and didn't want others to figure out I was.

If you didn't have pain as soon as you injected then probably you didn't hit a nerve; And if you aspirated then you didn't hit a vein. If this is the case it's probably nothing - just run hot water on the injection site and also message it.

Intramuscular shots cause trauma, no way around it..... That's why it's important to be as sterile as you can, ALWAYS use alcohol on the bottle before drawing up, always swab the site, and I even use a bandaid post injection to keep it clean for a few hours, whether if it's bleeding or not..... There is too much room for something to go wrong, and you gotta be as clean as possible everytime..... Now, having said that, I don't think your prob had anything to do with not being clean.... It's just that youre injecting oil into your muscle, and that oil takes up room..... It's possible the oil began pressing on a nerve slightly, and you felt that sensation..... As you see, it went away quick, and youre fine.... You gotta be prepared for weird stuff when youre doing IM shots..... That includes alot of soreness, redness, and lumps on occasion..... After you get used to doing them for a few years, the trauma doesn't worry you as much.......

Yeah I do all those things mentioned about being clean and aspirating. The thing that bugged me out was that it was the day after the shot and I was playin football running around for an hour before it started. I appreciate your feedback and just had to ask just to be safe.
