cypionate, estrogen and libido

anyone here using cyp for their TRT program, and if you are how does this affect your libido and estrogen numbers on the blood work?

I know Arimidex/Liquidex is used to keep the E2 in check but long term, how does this affect the libido and the ability to "perform"?

the last thing I want is to sacrifice that part of my life for a TRT program.

Don't know if it's the same for everyone, but I'm on HRT with 200mg/wk test cyp, and HCG 2x/wk at 250IU each.

I also take a-dex at 0.25mg EOD. That is sufficient to keep estrogen in check at the low dose. I've upped the a-dex in the past to 0.5mg ED to see how it affects me, and at the higher level I notice my libido decreases slightly. It does not affect performance, but the libido does decrease.

Letrozole is more powerful, and consequently I would expect that it would have a more pronounced affect on libido.

well I know my doc isn't going to put my on HCG right now at all...

I'll be taking Liquidex with my shots to minimize the estrogenic effects.

I know HCG is primarily for "cosmetic" reasons and to keep the kids active, so to speak, so if I didn't take that will it have an effect on my TRT program or should I talk to her about that?

And how does the supplement Powerfull stack up in an arsenal like this?

While HCG is often used for aesthetic purposes, I think there are other good reasons to use HCG. First, if you're going to be doing HRT for the rest of your life, why not keep the testes working, rather than permit them to completely atrophy. If for some reason you have to come off of the test, don't you think it would be easier to get your natural production back on line if your testes have been operating the entire time?

Plus, HCG will boost your natural test production, and thus may allow you to get away with a lower exogenous test dose (e.g., 100mg/wk instead of 150). Just some thoughts....

very true, tommy... I'm going to talk to the doc tomorrow anyway and I will get her all sorts of info about HCG and dosing.

I suggested 150 a week she suggested 200. I'm game for either dose but I know I'll be getting bloodwork done at 6 weeks to see whats going on.

I figure then we can adjust dose.

By the way... when is the best time to do bloodwork on shots?

I am on 200mg of cyp a week split in 2 shots of 100mg. My libido is thru the roof and I have not felt this good since I was in my mid to late 20's. I would do bloodwork on the day of or before your shot and if you are doing only 1 shot a week then midway before next shot. Go with 200 and see how you feel. If you run into problems as high blood pressure, liver enzymes, or prostrate then just go lower. Once you taste the 200 thou you will not want to go lower.

thanks, nemesis...

I already have HBP (genetic) so I am on meds for that. Atacand... no biggie.

I start it Friday, lets see how it goes.
