Cycles and Higher BF....

out of curiousity...how many of you started a cycle at a higher BF % say over 15%....what was your experience with this....would you do it again? How many of you thought about taking tren at a higher bf? Be honest now....also...hypothetically speaking...say you were at a higher BF (over 15%) and you knew about training/diet/cardio...(yes i know..if you did you wouldnt be fat..but work with me) would you then start a cycle.....
 
I'm 39 with a low testosterone level. My fist couple cycles were started at about 17%BF and I got down to 15% while on but always crept back up to 17% after stopping. (BTW, I've always used PCT). I do occaisionally eat junk food but I always get 200g of protein a day and follow the zone diet (40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat).

It wasn't until I started full time TRT before I could consistently stay below 15%.
 
If I were you I'd avoid using anything like D-bol or cyp-anything that's going to make you retain more water and make you look more of a bloatus than you already are. If you absolutely must use something, try Tren or V along with Clen and follow your regular zone style diet but lower your carbs to under 50 grams for 3 days at a time, followed by your zone diet for 4 days, repeat, etc. Do an hour or two of cardio on those 3 low carb days. Over your 3 low carb days you'll probably lose somewhere between 5-10 lbs(most of this will be water weight) Then you'll probably gain back 3-8 lbs over the 4 days you're eating carbs again. This should have you losing about 2 lbs of fat every 7 day period without losing too much muscle. Plus you'll only feel like you depriving yourself of carbs a couple days a week because day 1 of low carbs you'll still have energy from the previous 4 days of eating higher carbs. Day 2 and Day 3 you'll be hurting a bit, but knowing you're upping your carbs again on soon should keep you psychologically motivated to stick with it.

I know your primary question here was regarding RX use, but if you really want to like what you see in the mirror you're going to have to diet. Cycling your carbs in an on/off fashion like this always got me in the best shape and gave me total control over how much bf I'd lose over specific periods of time. If you really want to dial it in, get a book called Sliced. It discusses the carb cycling diet I mentioned above in greater detail. It was the Bible of BB diets in the Early 90's. There's probably other books out there that are more cutting edge now, but this old school book really helped me get into shape. Here's a link.

yeah i am a little surprised, everytime i try and get cycle advice telling my BF i get flamed, or maybe have seen other people get flamed before so when i ask for advice i just tell my age and training history, i am a shag under 20 BF i carry most of my excess in my gut and inner thighs seeing that my arms upper back and shoulders are pretty lean, working on that though
 
I agree with Bigcracker, don't use anything that will bloat you up. I would also run arimidex just to get your estrogen even lower, this will help to reduce your bodyfat as you cycle.

you will lose BF during your cycle as you train and start gaining muscle.

You think CYp makes you retain water???? Cmon.......more than prop or Test E??

It's not dbol.....test cyp, eq and prop is a cyce that is all about lean mass, no bloat.....agreed?
 
Who gives a shit if your going to bulk bulk to maximum potential, same if if you cutting. I will hit 1270 this year be a fat ass strong mmother fucker to.

I don't think anything is cast in stone. I don't disagree at all if you're making a broad generalization. However, I think everyone's body has the potential to react differently to their gear. A lot of this has to do with training methods/intensity, diet, stress/cortisol levels, and genetics. Personally I feel more bloated on cyp than other tests, but that's just my opinion.

I can gain weight no prob, but I have friends that lose 5 lbs if they even skip a meal-so naturally our bodies are going to react differently to the stuff we take. All anyone can really do is find someone with a similar body type, metabolism, and training habits and emulate what works for them while fine tuning everything to suit themselves along the way. If everybody got the same results from RX, diet, and training, bodybuilding would be way too easy and almost everyone would look great after 6 months in the gym. Just my .02
 
you know fish i think of it like this. my body fat is pretty low mabey 12% or a little higher, which is kinda high for ef standerds. there are a lota guy here that like their bf% REALLY low, they look great and if that makes them happy then good. i on the other hand dont give 2 shit if i every make it to 8% or lower. i could use a little trimming here and there but i am not fat by any means. i am naturaly big, not fat just big in general, im 6'4" and i have very sholders and hips. size is my strength. if i would have really low bf right now i wouldnt look very good. i would prabable look skinny and that isnt somthing i ever want. i am about to start my first cycle. gear helps you get bigger muscles and if that is what u want right now them go for it. think about how u wanna look not what other people are telling u. i am pretty sure that my bf will never be as low as most of the guys on here and dont really give a fuck. i do eat really well most of
the time but if tearing up a chineese buffet and a shit load of sushi once a week makes me happy and keeps me from killing people them so be it. i get pretty grumpy when im hungry. i dont think the aggresion from halo could rival that.

Just as a point of reference, outside the BB community 20%BF or lower is considered healthy and does not look fat at all. At about 15% BF you'll have a flat stomach and no love handles. But if you want a 6-pack you need to go below 10%.

Health and looks have very little to do with each other unless we are talking about someone who is morbidly obese.
 
I've done it, twice in the past.. Most people will tell you it's a bad thing. But it was actually a good thing for me. It kept me focused and stricter with my diet, I worked out more and worked out harder. In the end I lost a couple percent in body fat. Once I took clen it leaned me out even more. I was very vascular, prior to that you couldn't see any veins. I went from a size 40 waist to a 36.

I guess it depends on the person. I am not planning on competing in any shows, I was just looking for that extra edge in the gym, something that would take me to the next level since I seemed to hit my plateau.

Sure the finished product didn't look as good as it would at a lower body fat %. But I managed to lose weight, gain muscle, and look 4 times better than when I started.

Great post guys.....damn i just woke up! and its sunday! lol....anyway, my idea behind this post is for all the "closet" posters here that are over 15% BF, that like a bro on here said would get "flammed" for even trying steroids at that percentage or higher.... personally, i know the creed is to get your BF down before you ever start a cycle...i myself dont condone the use if your BF is outrageous and you tell me that your consuming 2-3 meals a day and wonder why your not loosing weight...the idea is that diet is the number one component and training the second...Although i do believe that you can be at a higher BF % and loose body fat while on gear, it all depends on what you take....someone said dont touch dbol that would bloat you even more...i find that to be true...Understand that you MUST.....MUST have your diet down ...on point...training on point before you can ever start a cycle...why the creed of "you must be under 15% bf to start a cycle" ? Well if you dont know how to eat....to manipulate food and its nutrients to do what you want to acheive....if you dont know how to train to manipulate your muscles to look the way you want them too....then this should be your first step...Most of the guys that come on here and get flamed by us is cause they say something to the effect of " im a fat ass and i want to start a cycle" read that...just doesnt look or sound right...that is why you guys get flamed...you clearly dont know anything about nutrition or diet....damn i rammbled...lol...those are just my thoughts...
