Cutting diet

Just wanted to see what some of you thought about this diet me and a buddy came up with for cutting. We planned this using the pintoca cutting calc.

This is based on my cal. need of 2064, 234g of protein, 132g of carb, 72g of fat.

Breakfast:
1 cup 2% milk
1 cup oatmeal
2 eggs

10 am snack:
Banana or .25 cup of nuts

Lunch:
8oz. chicken breast or tuna
1 slice whole wheat
2 cup romaine lettuce

3pm:
8oz of lean meat or 4oz lean meat with some type of fruit or veggie

Dinner:

4oz. lean meat and 1 cup brown rice

then:
PWO shake

According to the charts we have using this diet with 6 days of cardio and 4 days of weight training per week should give us good results. If anyone has any input or suggestions it would be very appreciated.

you only have a shake after working out before bed? You really need a whole food meal before going to bed, especially after trianing.

Thanks for the info, i wasnt aware that i needed an actual meal after workout.

you certainly do before bed. that shake will be through you in 2 hours tops. that means your body will be in a catabolic (muscle wasting) state for 6-8 more hours while you sleep. not good!

I assume you're happy with the ratios/totals, so here're a couple of suggestions to improve the meals: add some protein to the mid-morning meal and a slow-digesting meal (something with fiber and/or fat along with meat or non-whey dairy protein) 45-60 minutes after the PWO shake.

Yah, looks like you are missing plenty of protein.

I always look to have protein in each meal.

Can you repost some macros for this approach? P/F/C for each meal... gives me a better gauge

It's something along these lines.

We are still learning and fine tuning.

I originally did not have tuna and brown rice as a end of day meal, but after advice to have a meal before bed I added it.

I need to go back and restructure a few things to make the numbers add up.

I haven't gotten the powder for the PWO shake yet so those numbers are not added in just yet.

I've attached a snapshot of the excel worksheet.
How can I link you to the excel file?
