Crosstraining Shoes....I need them!

Eh I love my otomix! The biggest thing for me is having a pair of shoes I can comfortably put my custom orthodics into. This is the only shoe I've had luck with. The rest just dont' quite pull it for me. I did buy the cross trainers tho, and not the soft side lifting shoes. I doubt my wonderful orthodics would work well in those.

Sorry man...didn't mean to sound like I was bashing your suggestion. I haven't seen the crosstrainer version of these, but I'll search for them in the internet...I really liked the look and they were comfortable too--just can't do the running version.

I'd like a different pair of shoes for every occasion but that can get pretty expensive!

No problem -- and I'm sorry for carrying on about them; was just trying to be accurate in my representation. :)

Shoes can get expensive -- but damn, they're worth it ...

I really need some good crosstraining shoes...mainly for kickboxing. I have a good pair of Adidas running shoes, but I tend to roll my ankles in them when I am kickboxing and my fashionable black Sketchers aren't very comfortable. My size 7 - 7 1/2 foot is more on the wide side and I don't have any problems with my arch.

Can someone please recommend where I can get a good pair of black crosstrainers? They don't seem to carry all black for women...what gives? I don't want all white or anything too "girly."

Thanks ladies...I know we all love shoes, so I'm sure I'll get some good responses!

I get all my sports shoes from the mens' section. The women's section is full of foo-foo aerobics gear in my experience.

I have a pair of black reebok general training shoes. They don't look fantastic, fairly boring, but they are fine for gym work of various kinds.

Best "footwear" for martial arts is bare feet though!

If you're working off of mats; if you're working off of polished wood floors, your feet get torn up.

Freddy! It's an italian fitness wear company, and they've got lots of kick boxing stuff, plus some of the coolest black shoes you've ever seen.

www.freddy.com

And I get all my low rise bootleg tights from them; I won't even try anyone else's. :-)

thanks for all your help! JJ--their website is awesome! I'm a wanna be computer nerd, so I'm easily impressed by flashy websites! :D

I like the rotating shoes. :-)

Freddy's has every type of shoe you might need for fitness/cardio/kick boxing/dance. I'd stick with the Chuck Brown's for deadlifting though.

BTW - Thanks Spatts for the Chuck Brown idea. I switched over after we figured out my shoes were part of the reason I was having difficulties pulling backward. That slight lift in the heel of a cross trainer was enough to be throwing my DL off.
