I've had no luck with it. Currently using EAS Phosphagen HP. I'm on my 3rd tub with no gains.

I had a bout with creatine once. ONCE. I think it would have been easier if I had just mail ordered diarrhea instead of the creatine powder. Exactly one hour and forty five minutes after taking my creatine, guaranteed I would be on the toilet holding on for dear life as the Hoover Dam that was my anus was opened up and hordes of intestinal content came shooting out. I think at one point I looked down between my legs and saw salmon swimming upstream. I think the main thing was that I didn't drink enough water. I'm really scared to ever try it again though because pooing liquid everyday is about as cool as Michael Damien - "hey kids rock and rollllll...rock on."

lmao @ the salmon swimming upstream. I've had varied results. But overall I thing it is an effective volumizer.

LOL!! Bro, you do paint a picture.

Creatine does work for me. But that's only because I don't expect it to have AS-type effects. Too many people do. I think it's a great supp. But it IS just a supp.

after 5 years of creatine useage, it is no longer effective

It is working for me......I don't know if my opinion counts. But yes, it helps me to be able to be the All-American She-Ra (is this false advertising??).....................

I used creatine (Creatine Fuel Stack from Twinlab) for about a month last year. I didn't gain any size but I got alot stronger. When I stopped using it some of the gains went away.

i put on some water weight, and gain some strength during the loading fase, than thats it.. Use it mostly after a cycle to keep my strength gains..

Creatine without AAS is a waste IMO.

It helps. But all creatine ever did for me is cause me to hold more water. Not that I mind holding a little water. The best I tried was CellTech, I think it is because of all the glucose. Yeah and that can result in fat. Overall I can use enanthate to help me hold water. Plus I read somewhere that the French consider creating a carcinogenic. What isn't?

could be true, but for the moment scientifics dont seem to agree on this point. I've heard everything on creatine from kidney failure to cancer. One thing: I wouldnt use it for more than 2 months. ALso I think the reason why creatine is banned in France is cause its considered as an anabolic .........lol

not all creatines are created equal

the best in my opinion

are Sportpharmas

and

Twin Labs......nothing comes close

when I was on the sportpharma wich was my first time

my bench went form 225 for 3 sets of 3:(

to

225 for 3 sets of 13..........I SWARE TO GOD:garza:

in a MATTER OF 4 MONTHS

I love the pump you carry around all day. Reduced joint soreness. Two sets into your workout, your swelling up like you got stung by a bee. Endurance in the weightroom seems to improve, as does power. The extra water in your muscle can help a lot with strength by itself.

I give it a thumbs up.

I find the limiting factor to be my joints. I have hit my joint limits 6 times. Using nothing, creatine, AAS, HGH/slin/AAS, supplements. I hit a point where my joints feel like they may break and that is all she wrote. :(
I'll never be a power lifter. :(

I used Cell-Tech quite a bit, but now I just buy the Weider powder from Wal-Mart.

It makes my face fat as hell, but that's OK. My face is pretty fleshy even when I'm lean.

My thoughts exactly!

Cas,

Do you juice, and if yes, how can you tell if it's the creatine working or just the juice?

I did a decent little 9 week test/deca/d-bol cycle last February and March. That's all. I don't like it all that much.

I've used creatine on and off since I was seventeen. I just started it again for the first time since last December. :)

Whether or not it "works" depends on what you're are expecting it to do. Sounds like some of you are expecting it to make you grow. If that's the case, no wonder you think it sucks. All creatine will do is allow for more P to combine with ADP to make ATP so that you can work out longer.harder. THAT in turn might make you grow, but creatine alone will not.

Creatine and anavar work on the same pathway. Take them together and you may see some VERY nice results. You can also lay off the var and maintain the creatine, providing a taper effect for the receptor, and allowing for increased maintenance of gains.

I don't use creatine. I never felt like I needed more workout energy, not did I feel any more while on it. If I were using anavar in the future, I might try it again.

I've never felt it give me more energy in a stimulant kind of way. My muscles just don't peter out as fast and soreness is greatly reduced during and after.

I have tried creatine 3 times.

After 5 days I retain SO much water that I can hardly breathe. It happened all 3 times.

All creatine does for me is make me REALLY THIRSTY!!!

Of course that is a good "side" effect since it tends to cause cramps if you aren't well hydrated. Last time I used it, it seemed to help with progress...but it is no miracle worker as some people claim. I keep saying I am going to try it again...and going into my meet, I might. We'll see...

That's precisely the reason the supplement market should be regulated. I'm tired of all the bullshit supplement companies ripping people off through misinformation and misleading advertising

I wasn't referring to "stimulant" energy. Just what you were talking about. Your muscles don't "peter out" because they have more fuel...ATP.

I know, but when you say "energy", that's what I think of.

How helpful do you think good mornings are in improving your deadlift? I've never really done them, but they seem to be such a staple of power lifters that I'm going to start including them as of tomorrow.

The best good moring variation for increasing the deadlift is Chain Suspended bent over good mornings...using a saftey squat bar.

Here's the thread with other variations....

ditto. But creatine works great for me. Increased strength significantly as well as endurance. I believe that it may cause a much higher susceptibilty to pulls and tears as some researchers believe.

Just wanted to add that the best GM for deadlift carry over can vary by how you deadlift. ;)

Sorry, point taken...wouldn't want to forget those of you that do it sumo style. My recommendation was for people that deadlift conventional.

Creatine doesn't work, YOU have to work! I find I can workout longer when on it and go harder in my workouts.. thus more gains !

I did a log a couple months ago on APS creatine Nitrate and MesoMorph. What I like most was I felt no bloating with the creatine nitrate like I use to with Mono. Saw gains in strength and recoverd quicker. I am now using MAN 's Orthine, I ordered off OrbitNutrition.com I have creatine as a staple and always will.

i use Ancient Strength sold at needtobuildmuscle.com . its a well rounded creatine supp that contains the perfect blend of creatine monohydrate, creatine pyruvate & creatine phosphate

Creatine is a very valuable supplement. I definitely recommend everyone using it. Needto has a great write up on it on this forum...

PowerChews.com is a new board sponsor that has a new innovative line of supplements with Creatine using Creapure at 5 grams per serving. Check them out!

I added 5lbs during the loading phase. Sure it was just water but it was in the muscle - not edema like water held by excess estrogen. At that time I was just training for a little over a year and it puffed me up. My lifts went up 5-10% as well.

I just use creatine monohydrate.

Now I just really take it because I monitor my weight and don't want to lose the 5lbs. Personally I think its most effective earlier on in your training.

Always good to take 5g prior to ur workout or when stacking in my opinion

With all the science backing Creatine I'm not sure it can be deemed invaluable, but some forms are superior in my opinion (and semi-proven again by science). Creapure and monohydrate are the two routes worthwhile and each are relatively inexpensive...
