Confused about my weight

Alrgiht, 6 wks ago i weighed 178 and i started lifitng (i.e, bench press was 95)

After altering diet and such to get 'cut' , i weight 178 still, but i can bench about 210. (Big improvement in other lifts as well)

What gives? Would this count as gaining muscle, losing weight/fat? Any ideas?
 
Weight isn't so much an indication as body fat percentage is. Get a handheld tester and use that in conjunction with your scale. This will give you a better idea of your progress. To answer your question though, I would say that if you didn't work out before then you have probably both gained muscle and lost a bit of fat.
 
yeah it's not uncommen for people to gain muscle while losing fat for a few months or so when first beginning to lift/workout
 
In the first few weeks, you under go the neurological effect of weight training. You'll get stronger, but you won't see much physical change in your body. 95lbs to 210lbs is quite a jump, you may have been able to do a but more when you started. Your muscles are gonna get stronger first, then recruit muscle fibers that you haven't been using, then grow. Good luck, glad to hear that you are making progress.

As far as training goes:

Mon CHest/biceps
Tues: Back
THurs: Shoulders, legs, tri

Sat: Kinda random, wherever i dont feel sore:)


Also, im gonna do something different, and im now on Day 2 night of CKD diet. SO far, so good.

2 days ago i weighed like 183 (creatine) Today was like 178 with full breakfast in me (lots of pissing.) Any1 want updates of my 2 weeks?
 
yeah keep us updated. 5 pounds in 2 days is amazing, but i would be wary that you dont over do it. That much weight in that little time is a little much, but as long as ya know what your doin more power to ya, good luck
