Competition Suits

This is my first competition. Aiming for Figure - might opt for bikini. I have some good contacts for suits, although if you have any suggestions let me know. I am trying to decide on design (glitter and crystals) and color/fabric. For the 2 piece what is the best fabric? Velvet, glitter?? This is new to me...are there any patterns or fabrics that are particularly good or bad, why? Are there trends? Please help

Well the fabric is a personal choice really - velvet is used a lot but I don't like it personally cuz I think it adds heft to my shape so I like the lycra type material....haven't tried hydrofoil yet so can't say on that......

Cut is important as the right cut can add or detract from your figure...your suit maker should be able to help you out with that.....

I've heard comments (from judges) that some girls go overboard with bling, but you want SOME bling - but it's hard to tell what would be too much....
