CKD or 50/20/30, mr. X?

What do you think would be more apropriate for a person having to lose just a few pounds and not a shitload of fat?

I'm 5'11", 170lbs at the moment, second week of 6/1 CKD, no cardio at all and things are going fine, but I wonder if the other way was more efficient or less painfull. I only have a small ammount of fat around my lower abs and on the sides.

I go by the facts: since you are using CKD at the present and getting good results then don't switch around, it would be pointless. Yet, if you are looking to achieve long term fat-loss, and a more healhty body, then I would recommend 50/20/30. I am not labeling diets, just stating the facts at hand.

Feel free to PM me with questions.

P.S. I have gotten great results with 50/20/30 and with CKD

BUMP...interested, i am in the same situation.
I'll definitely stick with CKD for a few more weeks. Starting something new every week is never a good idea. I guess it's especially true for a diet like CKD.

Well to be honest i like the idea of the CKD diet very much, but it takes 4 weeks to get use to and after semptember i probably won't diet to cut, i usually start bulking up. So i will only diet until the end of the summer. No point in making it a miserable 4 more weeks.

Good Luck.

I got used to it rather quick and without much pain, since I don't like sweets and am not much of a carb-maniac. The only problem is that I have to prepare the food and eat and home which I'm not used to at all ;)
As for the lifting, strength is definitely down, but I haven't experienced any muscle loss. On the contrary, I think I'm actually gaining a little. I'd say the intensity of training sessions are pretty much the same, except on a somewhat lower strength level.

also interested, keep posting!!

Well 2 days ago i switched over and eat carbs before and after workout only. I am doing cardio also. My workout yesterday was SUPER intense. So i personally think if you want to stay big and lift hard, just eat right: mod. carbs, mod. fat, high protein and do cardio. I think i rather have the intense workout i did yesterday and wait an extra 3 weeks for results, to be able to lift hard, IMHO.

Good Luck bro.

I totally agree :) But since I can only suffer that much (and every diet is suffering in its own way) I prefer the fast solution. The choice of diet probably has much more to do with person's character rather than his/her body :) I'm at the end of week two on CKD, but I know I won't be able to take much more than four weeks total. I like food too much, and fortunately I don't get fat easy.
How's your progress? I lost 10lbs so far, great deal of it is water of course.

Well my progress is good, i really don't weigh myself i go by the mirror and the 6 pack is definitely making a good presence. Do you think you have lost muscle on the CKD diet? And have you been following Mr X. diet exactly or did you make changes? Thats always my main concern, I hate losing hard earned muscle!!

Congrad on the progress btw it must feel great bro.

Good Luck with the rest of the diet.
