chest- cable crossovers

which would hit the upper chest more. it seems i'm lacking a little in that area.

cables at top of bar or

cables at bottom (where my arms would start near my side and finish close to the front of my face)

If you're after mass, do incline presses...barbell, dumbell, both. Make them the core of your workout for a couple months instead of flat bench or whatever.

Crossovers are great, but they are not a mass or strength movement.

If you really have to do crossovers for your upper chest, put the handles on the lower cables and drag an incline bench under your cable machine.

None of the above.

Start doing dips in correct form to hit chest. Lean forward into the dip and tuck your feet underneath you... and look at the ground.

yeah, i wanted to start doing dips, as well as other things. i had a shoulder operation 2 &1/2 years ago and just started to get back into training about 6 months ago.

before i went back i went to a trainer who is also a physical therapist, to get a routine where i can keep my shoulder in tact and make it stronger.

i asked him about doing dips (cause i heard it's great for chest) he told me they can put extra strain on the shoulder joint. it seems anytime i veer off his routine, my shoulder aches more than usual.
