cheat meal

Just so you don't mindfuck yourself - remember that your cheat meal is just part of your scheduled meal plan - it isn't a free-for-all break from the diet that leads to a full day of unadulterated binging - but just like scheduled RECOVERY (i.e. over training = under recovery), it has its place in your diet.

What you will find over time tho is that your idea of a "cheat meal" goes from "what form of decadence can I fantasize about all week & then indulge in" to "I really like a fantastic steak & broccoli dinner w/ a glass of really good Shiraz" over time. Salt & alot of the stuff that you normally leave out of your diet is good, to throw in, but your desire to really load what "sounds good" starts to taper off over time.

That's is a REALLY great point and so true. Even with the few friends and coworkers of mine that I have following (or trying to follow) the same eating plan I am... we are at totally different phases in our eating.

When I started, I literally thought a cheat day was eating whatever I wanted within 2200 calories... but now things are diffferent and I do pick and choose those treats real carefully!

Hmmm, lets see if I remember correctly .....

Started off normal ......
4 tbsp cream of wheat (made with 3/4c water, 1/4c skim milk)
sweetened with Splenda
sliced banana

BUT .... HUNGRY when running errands .... craving crap .....
SO, I hit up Wendy's - Jr Chzburger, sm fries, lemonade :)

Went to Target for some stuff, bought a bag of M&Ms (HYUGE bag)

Hungry again when I got home, ate a piece of string cheese

Hubby made dinner ..... steak, corn and potatos (all on the outdoor grill!)
Of course, butter (light) and sour cream (light) on the potato! :)

Desert ... more M&Ms :)

But I also drank over a gallon of water, so that makes it all okay. lmao

Why am I fat? ROFLMAO!

After reading that DG I don't feel so bad about eating the brownie, cookies, and 1/2 the container of ice cream, and actually am sitting here thinking if I should go eat the rest of it. :worried:
