Cardio on empty stomach - question

If you're doing HIIT that's something else...

Then you shouldn't be worrying about what your heart rate is, essentially.

ok, would this be a good workout if i were to try to follow his research.


1. warm up 10 min
2. do 20 second bouts (going how fast, how many rpm?)
3. take 10 second rest
repeat step 2 and 3, 9 times
 
Luto, from what I read on the website you'd go as fast as you can during the bursts....then slow back down until your heartrate returns to your warm-up heart rate....then repeat.

My heart-rate while jogging would be around 130 and I imagine the bursts would be up in the 170's for those few seconds. I'm going to try that out at the gym tonight. I'd much rather do 20 min. cardio than longer sessions.
 
wow i tried this out on the bike for 15 min, then the running machine (not tred) and i sweat more than i do at 2 a days!
