Cardio-HI/SD or LI/LD?

The old debate- cardio. From those who are ripped, what works better for you? High Intensity, Short Duration(15 minutes) or Low Intensity, Long Duration(30-45 minutes)- or a combo of both? I have read so many studies that claim differant results- it is rediculous. I personally do 20-30 minutes of low intensity mixed with 15 min of high intenisty sprints. I do 4-5 times a week cardio. What has worked for you?

Well, all I've gathered is to burn more fat, do longer duration, as it takes more time for the body to breakdown fats into energy and doing it at a low-intensity allows you to do that.

Once I get the damn exercise bike in a week or two, it's 4-5 days a week, 30 minutes of moderate biking intensity. Then week 2, say 40 mins, then all the way up to an hour. Just to get myself used to it again.

150 to 300m sprints for about 15-20mins with full recovery between each sprint done 2-3 times a week will rip you up .

I personally like short durations 15-30 minutes of high intensity, either I sprint or I box. The type of boxing is really fast and focuses on speed and power vs. endurance. With the short cardio I don't lose the muscle mass when I did low intensity, plus you actually get a lot quicker.....
