cardio after weights

well, your bloodsugar is lo, so you should be able to tap into your fat reserves fast. BUT its also extremely easy to start breaking down muscle cells as well..you dont wanna do that..

Better to do Cardio After Weights than before.
No more than 60 Min of you risk losing muscle.
No more than 10-15 min of cardio as a warmup BEFORE weights.

better to do it in the morning, but if you are going to do it ,then after weights is always best, then you'll use fat for fuel.

Thanks for the info. So it's ok then to do up to say a half hour of cardio after weight training? Without worrying about losing muscle?

shouldnt worry too much. key is to maintain a fairly low intensity heart rate. so you burn glycogen and bodyfat only. if you are too intense, the body cant mobilize the nutrients fast enough and will go to a more immediate source for energy......lean body mass.

Thanks Nate.

That shouldn't be a problem. I'm not looking to jump into some intense cardio routine right after a workout. I'll leave that shit to the kids (heh heh).

Figure I'll start on 20-30 mins on the bike, something like that. Thanks again bud!

actually the best way to do cardio is 15 minute interval training, ie rock climbing, sprinting something that takes all ur energy for a certain amount of time. if u;'s guys want ill add the case study

cardio in the morning? do i have to?

death, i'm looking for the benefits of something you can do immediately following weight training. not just what good cardio is in general. thanks though.
