Carbs and Fats together?

Who said it was different? It isn't my idea. I first got the idea from Dr. DePasqual. The science behind it is very valid. Obviously it is not the only way. There are massive bodybuilders who use diets similar to the anabolic diet (much like I use) as well as ones who do high fat/high carb, lower fat/high carb etc. The same with training systems. All I have said is that it is a legitmate method, and I use it because I think it is probably the most effective method.

Now, the reason I said you confused the hell out of me, is because you would say something concerning one fo my posts, several times, and would imply that I said this or that in it, and I had to go back and try to figure out where I said it, because I don't think I did. The most recent :"How could you possibly argue with what I have to say now that you've conceded that C+F is a bad combo... " I never conceded such a thing, and can't figure out where you think I did.

Geez, that got ugly fast. I read what both of you guys said and it is about the same thing. One saying fat and carbs are a bad idea becuase fat meal are generally high calories, the other saying carbs and excess calories of any type are bad.

As far as psudeo-scientific goes, most theories in bodybuilding are psudeo-scientific, such as the idea of combining fat and carbs being bad. I'm trying to reintroduce a bit of scientific fact to the arguement to get away from this type of bs.

OK BBF,
I understand what type of diet you don't recommend, but I am confused on what type of diet you DO recommend.

Not every diet is perfect for everyone, but I'm an advocate of CKD's (orginally called the anabolic diet) as well as carb rotation type diets (for those who cannot function in ketosis) for gaining lbm as rapidly as possible, while minimizing gains in bf. The type of diet I do not recomend it one where one either eats low fat (20% or less of their calories) or diets where one eats large amounts of carbohydrates consistantly. I honestly, some people don't understand this, believe that there is valid science behind the fact that cycling one's carbohydrate intake has the potential to create a far more anabolic environment in the human body than eating a consistant amount of carbohydrates. For me to say I advocate low carb diets is probably misleading, since I believe in eating massive amounts of carbs for bulking, but only on specific days, after a period of reduced carbohydrate intake. Again, this isn't my own theory, and people with far more credientials than I, have supported this idea long before I became involved in bodybuilding. Out of all ideas I've seen involving diets and muscle anabolism, this one appears to have the most merit, scientifically, and certainly there are some extremely massive individuals who have used such diets for gaining size. Mister X has actually presented evidence to some of this in his stickies, although I'm not certain if he understood the ramifications of what he wrote.

Thanks for the reply.

You're welcome. I have older post up here and there discussing what I believe to be ideal diets, but I guess none are currently up. This thread is from a few months back actually.
