Cant Do Bench, Need Help

Here is my problem, one day 2 weeks ago i was doing my normal benching workout and something between my delt and pec gave me a sharp pain under my left shoulder. Maybe its a pulled ligament or something cause to this day i still cant even put up 150lbs without feeling pain. I tried using dumbell presses but pec or whatever it starts killing me after a little with that too. Maybe I have some sort of bigorexia issues, but I need to workout and there is no way im gonna take months off and shrink while this thing gets better. I already lost enuf size.
What i need is some way to work my chest that is not involving any form of presses. Last night when i couldnt do bench i Started doing dips. Then I started doing weighted dips. My arm wasnt bothering me then, its alittle sore now but i think i found a way to somewhat work my chest without feeling pain..Does anyone know of any other type of exercises which i can do without starining my injuries...And if they know how long something like this takes to get better please let me know...

you are going to be limited to fyes without any type of pressing moves.let i heal up and work around it the best you can,no telling how long it will take to heal ,depends exactly what you injured.a doctor is the only one that i would trust with that.also be carful with any shoulder work as not to hurt it more.try stretching and keep it a couple weeks,...........

Make sure you see a doctor Vic. I tore my rotator cuff years ago and I'm only now feeling good about putting weight on my bench. It may take surgery and months for you to heal.

Thanks guys...I know this isnt the rotator cuff, this is right near my armpit.. When i move my arm you can actually see vains popping out from where the pain is...kinda weird...I had a rotator cuff problems about 18 months ago...I started using D-bell presses until it got better. Now i use a 10 lb weight and do all sorts of stretches with each arm to work out the roator cuff before i bench...Stretching is the best for this..,..I think what i have is either a pulled muscle or some sort of ligament damage...

I've had the same problem. It took about 8 months to totally heal. Probably because I contiued to train, but like you I couldn't watch myself shrink. About the first 2 months I was benching at most 135 for several reps. It's a blow to your ego, but atleast it'll keep you from shrinking. If you're gonna keep working out keep it very light. I would warmup with the bar and then go to like 95lbs and then maybe 3 sets of 135lbs. I'm sure it looked funny to all around, but fuckem. I just told myself 95% of these guys wish they looked 1/2 as good as me, so don't worry about going light.

good luck, I know it sucks
