I've been reading all these posts in the past weeks about infections on this board (CO B MAN and others), knocked on wood that i have never gotten one and also have been extra careful with my procedures as of late.....anyways two days later, about 3-4inches below the sight of injection (on right side delt) a large red mark appears out of nowhere. I have been using this gear for about a month so i dont think its ther gear. Could this inflamation be something else then infection?????
I know i did train dealts hard yesterday....could it be triggered by that in any way???
Should i stop the gear ASAP (test prop 100mg/ml)??????? Anyway's waking up tommarow and making an apointment with the doctor, i dont like ferking around with this noise.

Guys i would really appreciate some input on this one

red mark or inflammation? a red mark could be just from the penetration.

if there is no heat at the surface with redness there is no infection. put heat on it and massage

Forgot to add.........

muscle is extremely tight, red area is about the size of half a hockey puck (tell im canadian eh?) but their is no swealing what so ever, area is warm when touched. I have pulled a muscle before and it kinda looks like that, but it does not hurt at all

On a serious note, if you have access to health care (and it is free up there ) just go see a doc if you are really worred.

If not heat the area with a heating pad and massage a few times a day. If it doesn't get better (or gets worse) then definitely see a doc.

I had a lump on my ass that hurt like hell for about a week - heat and massage took care of it.

JJ, true man we get health care, jsut hate seeing him about this shitt. He does not know i use gear and im gonna have to use some dumb excuse which i absoultley hate if he asks. Yaa diffenetly applying the heat to it and messaging, cheers for the reply. Cant hate the Canucks Kid!!

Do you boys think i should stop using the prop??? Gear is underground, comes from a reliable source and have also been using it for a month??? Im 98% sure my IM Inj. technique was excellent? WTF.......

Id give it a total of a 5-7 days from the day of injection and then act accordingly. A lot of the time it can be a nicked bloodvessel causing inflammation. If you are worried, you just go to the ER. They usually want to get you in and out as fast as possible and wont ask as many questions.. Just go during the day when its not too busy. Not sure how your ERs work up there though

That same day or the next day I have some kind of redness 2 or 3 inches below the pin mark; it gets warm and hurts like a skin irritation...seems like the oil is gravitating and trying to get out...lol but after a couple of days goes away...maybe you have something similar?

Diffenetly sounds like the same case.

Thx for the reply's fellas i'll keep my eye on it. Schedule an appointment with doc for monday. And if it gets better before then, i can have him tackle one of my other 99 problems.

that is what I had... I think it is from stuff getting between the muscle and skin becuase I did not go deep enouph... I actually did Ice massage with an ice cup (put a paper cup in freezer) I did three cups in one day and then the next day the inflamation was half gone so I did ice and heat and now I am fine...

If the prop has been working fine and this is your first incident then I would keep using it. On the other hand if it was a new vial and this was the first shot of out it I would trash it. If this is your first problem out of the vial then it may have been just something else.

Took a shotty today- smooth as silk

Redness does appear to be down today.

The technique i used-- drew pen mark around reddened area last night-redness is now within the pen marked area, things are looking good on this one....

I agree here. Delt shots do funny things to me sometimes too and the pain is about 3-5 inches blow the injection site. My entire muscle in my case got really hard when mine was infected and it was not just below the spot but the muscle above it as well. I never really got sick or in anyway resmbled a flu with fever or anything but it was definately infected. So I guess not everyone will always get the typical body reactions to an infection. just keep an eye on it. Especially since you said it is going away! Thats good news there!

this is also almost exactly what I encountered with a shot of winny in my left delt. The site was swollen, hurt like a mofo within 6 hours or so, day 1 had red irritation like color from my injection site to about 3 to 5 inches down my delt like UFO was describing. I thought it was either the PEG or the winny itself that was irritating my skin. Like CO B said, his was red above the spot also, so that is one reason that led me to believe it wasn't infected. the area above my delt stick wasn't hot or red. So I assume that gravity pulled the winny down and it irritated the area where it absorbed. Next time I will be diluting with 1cc of bacto water and check the results.
