If you don't have children now, please don't if you maintain this mentality. Children are not the epitome of rationality, if you haven't noticed. Letting a 15-16 year old "make their own choices" (not in the sense of subjective personal choices, such as clothes or music) is like giving a monkey a gun. Use a little introspection and recall what you and your peers were like during this time and tell us how "rational" you were.

one day youre going to look back on this episode and laugh at yourself. your daughter is a sentient being, not a "thing". if she gets banged, its because she wanted to. its not like the guy won something, or took something from her...she fucked him as much as he fucked her.

And hopefully the parent looks back and remembers that he did not shirk his parental duties of guidance and just claim, "well it's your decision". This mentality is prevalent today and a major contributor for the delinquency we see. Humans are not born instinctual, our species survives by transmission of learned knowledge: guidance.

she is 17 though. when i was 17 i moved out of home....went to uni...had a live in girlfriend...i was a level headed guy though. it took years for me to loosen up

As for boys go, I was all well and good to go for girls who were down (and had more than enough promiscuous behavior I guess), but I never disrespected their parents house or anything like that... I expect a dose of the same discipline I learned would make sure they do the same...

I can't relate. I never had sex, or did anything with girls while I was living at home. My life was too much hell for a variety of reasons. People/girls probably thougth I was gay or something, but oh well, can't go back knowing what I do now.

By the sounds of it, it seems a lot of you didn't fuck when you were living under your 'rents roof either. If you did, well then, what goes around comes around. Your parents probably felt like you do now, and how you felt then is probably how your kids feel now if they're fucking.
