I mean in a lot of situations it usually plays out that way, one parent is the primary caretaker but there are a lot of 50/50 arrangements now and so far I read recently that kids seem to do well with it.

Well, I determined that my kid was staying with me when his mom abandoned him. I wouldn't even let his visit his mom for nearly a year.

He begs me not to go over there too.

I guess it would work out for the kid if they had two good parents. I wouldn't know anything about that though.

I have my kid five days a week. He goes to his mothers on Tuesday & Wednesday. My mom keeps him a couple Fridays or Saturdays each month so I can go out. I think it's easier on the kid having one main home.
