Can I work biceps too much ?

Hi.

I need to know what you all do. This is what I usually do for my bi's :

I used to train my biceps once a week, let a full 7 days pass before I train them again. I think I am waiting too long ?

they are a lacking body part so I was wondering if it's ok to train them 2 times a week. letting like maybe 3-4 days go by before training them again ?

is waiting 3-4 days pass before training bi's a good idea ?

I was thinking training my bi's on a MONDAY then again on a FRIDAY ?

or does MONDAY & THURSDAY seem better ?

I hit my bi's pretty hard with each workout so I was just thinking I am waiting to long in between training sessions, I mean I think 7 days before hitting them again is way too long.

Maybe that is why they are lagging behind so much ? any thoughts ?

Thanks !!!!

IMHO you can train biceps too much and once a week heavy and hard should be enough. Biceps are small muscles and it is easy to overdo them and develop tendonitis which is really hard to get rid of. Also they are used to quite an extent in back training so prolly they are getting worked one and a half times as it is... I was talking about my own biceps training with a guy at work who has a phenomenal natural physique built up over 20 years of training and he said once a week is plenty, he also made the comment that anyone with a good back will almost without exception have great biceps and this made me realign my focus a tad. Sure, everyone is different but I would say keep going once a week for enough time to see the results.

For what its worth,I work any body part I want to increase size in twice a week. I agree when you work your back you are also working your bi's.I train my bi's heavy one day and the lite weight for a good pump the second.I do like to rest um at least three days. My opinon and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee...GOOD LUCK!!

Great post, diddlysquat, I totally agree.
I have tried both ways for training a lacking bodypart - twice per week and once per week. I have found much better results from training hard once per week. I think people have a tendency to think, "It's not growing fast enough! I better train it more!" which is not always the best solution. Patience is key.

thanks everyone.

I am going to take your advice sportjuicer and train my bi's 2x a week, letting 3 days in btwn. before hitting them again.

I'll see if this brings them up !

Thanks.
