Can extra-working out activites (aerobics and such) hurt you progress?

Hello all!

Just out of curioisty, can aerobics hurt you muscle building progress?

I know that a lot of it would. But what does "A lot" mean?

The two promary activities I do are karate and playing tennis (actually tryng not to pass out on the court. My shoulders are killing me!)

Anyway, do you know - what is the max amount of aerobics I can do without interfereing with my muscle building progress?

Is 3-4 hours of physical activity per week (non bodybuilding) TOO MUCH?

whats your take on this?
reply please!
Thanks!

nah I don't think it is, I used to run 3 mi. a night and also did cardio in the morning. My weights still improved during that time (albeit mabe more slowly, I will never know what I could have achieved). I basically ate a shitload more to make up for the difference.

I do believe theres a point at which the body just can't handle the stress despite how much more you eat. But 3-4 hours a week I'm sure isn't it

Aerobic activity = calorie burning.

calorie burning if you aren't eating enough already = weight loss.

That means no muscle building.

If you are bulking you'd be better off not doing any cardio.

eat more to make up for the calories burnt or you won't grow.
