Is there any value in cabbage. Boiling it.If yes is it good like Broccolli and other green Veg/sweet potato / ect............

Yes its good - http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-C00001-01c20cF.html.

25 cals per 100 grams; a "good source of Thiamin, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Potassium, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Vitamin B6, Folate and Manganese". Maybe not quite as good as spinach or brocolli (is 3.2% sugar and 1.5% fructose) but still good.

Why cook it though. Tastes better raw

Yeah, I have used the site to try to work out the number one veggie - I reckon it could be spinach, which has the lowest sugar content. I was really happy that while Pumpkin is high GI, it is for a low calorie vegetable (about 30 per 100 grams) really low in sugar, and its sucrose not fructose, so most the carbs can fill the liver. So I can include it, as it masks the taste of brocolli and spinach really well.

I love how the site also gives a break down of the exact nature of sugar in most veggies, e.g., fructose/sucrose/glucose content etc.
