Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routine

Re: Post up your bodybuilding training problems and I'll help you develop a new routi

intensemuscle.com is the official place where you can find out all about DC training. It's the board Dante (DoggCrapp), calls home. There are women over there that do DC training. That's why I said that would be your best place to get info on DC and talk to other women who are doing DC. A lot of women over there compete (men too), so they would be able to specifically relate to your situation.

Thank you! I'll check it out!!

Re: Post up your bodybuilding training problems and I'll help you develop a new routi

Ok so stop saying that a powerlifter would be great on stage if powerlifting is not about looking good... that's my point!

This powerlifter used to post here several years ago. 300+ lb'er in this first pic:

121txg2.jpg

Here he is dieted down and carb depleted:

2ivemph.jpg

Check out this back thickness...don't get that without heavy deads!
10eimhw.jpg

Carb loaded:

25f38r7.jpg

...now, he didn't decide a year or so before this to stop doing heavy deads and squats and start doing lower weight, higher volume isolation/BB style training to bring out certain muscles etc., he just dieted down after lifting as a powerlifter for many years. Oh, and he looks better than 99% of the guys on this board.

That's all I am going to say about this now.

He has a tight waist I give you that, which only makes him an exception among most of the other powerlifter with overgrown obliques.

Come on Ceo do you honestly think that lat development his bodybuilding competition winning material? Sure his spinal erectors are thick, but he needs more details that a powerlifting routine alone can't give him and I know you know that.

You are saying that he has a much better body than 99% of EF male members around this part of the site and I agree 110%!
You don't see me saying that I support bodybuilding over powerlifting for building a better and functional body, like I said before I prefer powerlifting or functional hypertrophy over bodybuilding protocols...

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

holy shit that dude's back is thick. also the delts. You would think that delts would be something a powerlifter would have to "bring up". This dude's got a set of cannon balls.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

He looks great, but still looks like a powerlifter and not a bodybuilder. yes he has great thickness and awesome muscular development, but when's the last time you've been at a local bodybuilding competition?

Those dudes are jacked, shredded, vascular, a lot more asthetic than this guy, with all due respect....he looks fucking amazing, but he's a powerlifter and not a competing bodybuilder....I can post pictures of competing bodybuilders than have not nearly the lower back thickness of this guy but will still blow him away in terms of overall development and body perfection...

Now lets look at the weaknesses from a bodybuilding point of view:

his forearms are overdeveloped, almost bigger than his biceps

his triceps is lacking...needs a lot of work

shoulders need a shitload more definition

lower back waaaaaay over developed

I dnt see his legs after he cut down, i'd like to see how that worked out for him

his left trap is higher than his right

my lats are wider than his and i'm half his weight

as a power builder he makes everyone look small and underdeveloped

as a bodybuilder, he is far from perfect...I could name a few on this board that look better, including the late Guardian.

Yeah he does specially the arm delt tie in after the carb loading looks great. Actually viewing from the front he looks flawless but I bet he is not so happy about his back.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

lol @ all you guys. Last time I was at a local show was in March. Couldn't go to a couple others I wanted to (including O) due to the new baby. At the show I went to in March, I think if this guy looked like he did in this pic from about 3 years ago (still in his early-mid twenties then) would've probably taken 3rd overall because of his back. I never said he could win the O. Sure he needs to work on some areas, but he's young. Keep in mind he doesn't know how to pose (or probably apply protan - lol). And for all I know, he doesn't care about BBing.

This guys physique blows away Guardian's, and it sure as shit blows away yours too traz. I'll take the lower back being overdeveloped with a grain of salt coming from a guy who doesn't deadlift. Never seen pics of your legs either traz...just sayin. You can see his legs are like friggin tree trunks in the before pic, if they look anything like the rest of him in the afters, I'd say it worked out ok for him.

Hey, I could've posted pics of Ronnie of Johnnie or several other pros, hell even a few other more famous PL'ers who've dieted down and look better than Dave here, but I wanted to keep it relative to posters here I guess.

Here, what about this comparison:

And would he be able to work on those areas without bodybuilding?

That's my point all along... also through posing you enhance mind-muscle connection which in turn will allow you to focus on certain areas while weightlifting...

Try to be a little more accepting of other peoples' ideas bro....just saying

I don't look nearly as good as he does...I know this. So what?

This is not about me. This is about whether or not powerlifters can look as good as bodybuilders on stage.

The answer is no. simple. yes there are exceptions. but you have to have changed your routine for the longest time and concentrated on bodybuilding for you to make that switch and impress on stage.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

lol...

i think everyone is saying the same thing but no one wants to accept that the other person is correct.

CEO is saying- when you work on powerlifting programs you get insane raw muscle which you can sculpt later on by dieting and all.
but you get a lot of extra raw "thickness" which is useful later on.

and i think all others have agreed with him at some point.

so why all this argument.

PS: on a personal note i would love to have "overdeveloped" forearms and quads like that dude..:)

The dude is awesome. No one is arguing that. All we're saying is powerlifting has it's competition and bodybuilding has its competition. They are not the same thing. One is raw brute power and the other is overall aesthetic muscle development. One cannot easily convert into the other. It takes times. You cant just diet down from a powerbuilder to a bodybuilder and expect to win. It doesnt happen that way.

it will take time i agree on that one, maybe a lot of it too but it will be possible.

Re: Post up your bodybuilding training problems and I'll help you develop a new routi

lay out 5 separate pages of a newspaper flat on the floor. With one hand, crumble each newspaper page until it is a small ball. Do five pages with each hand daily. Your forearms will grow in four weeks.

you can also do very heavy hammer curls - they will affect forearms...
rope hammer curls with holding weight on top will also put additional stress and develop forearms

If you take the normal hammer curl & bring it around in front of your body, it hits the forearms at a more advantaged angle.

Those are called pin wheels or mid line curls and yes they are helpful.

There is a post somewhere on this forum showing a guy doing it with 125lbs dbls fucking awesome.

yeh bro. I do pin wheels as well...I'm actually very strong with them...I do em with 90 lbs (no cheating) - 105 lbs (cheating)

shhh! You and I know that. And these guys have already agreed with what I originally said and have always maintained:

You can't achieve that much thickness without a powerlifting backgroun. You can almost always tell who had a powerlifter's background.

I agree that a powerlifting is way superior to build quality muscle that looks great even when relaxed!

Powerlifting is the best for building a solid foundation

It's just that they like to argue silly semantics, and I'm just playing their game and having fun while I can.

They know what I mean, and no matter how verbose I am in explaining it, they'll find a point with which to be cantankerous. So, I'm obliging them.

I do lol @ traz picking apart a guy that looks better than 99% of EF (even the late Gaurdian, RIP) though.

Traz you're just too predictable. Saibot was just a bonus. :p

I pick apart Olympians when I watch Mr. O bro,,it's because this game is about perfection...I will probably never look like any of these guys, but that doesn't mean I don't understand and know what looks good and what doesnt...

I agree with a lot of what you said above, but I say it again....let the powerlifters do their thing...they are not bodybuilders...on stage, they will be a lot bigger than bodybuilders, but they will NOT beat bodybuilders with a powerlifting routine until they have switched their entire routine, lifestyle, diet into that of a bodybuilder's

This is not about semantics or wording...and using big words like verbose is not your style :)

It seems everyone is predictable these days

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

I think this is a great thread. The way alc and ceo are going back and forth and having a debate is great. Every one talking and learning. People giving there incite experence and knowledge. Lots of people have been enjoying this thread.

Lets keep it that way. remember Ceo and alc are on the same team. Helping others and learning from one another team. No one has to be right. Whats right for alc is not right for ceo.

I will say this. IMO every one thinking about being a body builder should spend a few good years training heavy and working on core lifts. Even Joe weider fag boy says this. Any one trying to Just get a better looking body can prob skip this but its not the best idea.

Set a foundation of core muscle on which to build on. IMO every one should do this and I know this is what ceo is getting at.

NOW!!!! on to a few things I want to happen.

1. negative comments about the site. Come on you know who you are lets not see that crap. It helps no one. Instead of saying things like that invest time into making things better. Please.

2. I understand threads like this can get heated at times, but there really is no need for them to. Take the aggression out on the gym boys not your fellow ef members, mods and mentors.

3. We have all the makes of a great site. Many guys with knowledge. ceo,alc,Scotsman,thaidi,tat,Big_BK,al420, and so many more. Some have been powerlifting for years, some have competed in power lifting or body building comps, some are gunning for pro cards and all are in good shape.

We can take this foundation much like a power lifters foundation and make it a master peace. Ef is the melting post. Many people go to many other sites to get info and that is great. We can all come back together here on ef and bring it all together. We do not need to be negative.

Thank you to all the good bro's in this thread. Peace.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

I still think that guy needs bodybuilding to bring up "some areas" and if he doesn't cares about bodybuilding why would he diet down, carb deplet and carb load etc, etc, etc? last time I checked looking shredded is not powerlifting stuff... You are correct at some extent but omitting some points I brought up to question, like overgrown glutes, thick waists and yes the lagging bodyparts are not gonna get solved with powerlifting...

I won't be discussing this anymore because I think you proved your point and I proved mine. And besides I don't want be acused of supporting bodybuilding over powerlifting because I strive for strength and functional hypertrophy not for a being someboy poster boy, but if I can get to be both I wouldn't mind...

I really value your opinion ceo, most people should stay away from bodybuilding and some of it's false principles because most of the young weightlifters dwell on it and keep clusterfucking more and more without getting anywhere but to staleness...

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

Alright boys, let's get back to the main purpose of this thread.

Who has some training questions so all the good bros here can work on answering and giving advice?

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

whats a good abs routine, i really neglect my abs. How many reps are ideal for them? How many times a week usually i hear people doing them 3x's a week.

I personally believe that there are three muscle groups that you can hit almost everyday: abs, forearms, calves.

Do a variation of different exercises for abs. Hit upper abs one day and lower abs the other. Hit the intercostals and obliques every other day.

I have already posted something about this in this thread. I believe the post was directed at Thandie. Scroll up a little bro :)

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

I know this is horrible..but trying to read through all this does anyone remember where I think Alc or someone posted up a 5x5 example routine? And does Anyone know where there is a simple online workout log that can be printed? Just a thought...if not...Man let's post one up somewhere as a sticky....Maybe even some genius can make one of those where you can add in whatever workout it is your doing.. sets reps ?

PS ok someone recommended switching up to fly's for a few weeks....so I did it..3 weeks total I think and the first week I hurt my shoulder so I had to "control" more and use light weight on the flys (65 to 90 lb bells) Mind you bishes this is natty so no making fun of the small #s...Before on the smith I was pushing 275 for 3 very slow very clean reps then POOF failure....Today I did chest 5x5 5 sets of 5 reps clean and smooth 275 every set. No drop in weight no cheating..granted with 30 seconds between sets I was...well I nearly vacated some methane and was grunting loud enough on the last few reps to clear out a girl that was doing some funky butt excersize by the free weights.

You mean like the Training Info Vault stickie at the top of this forum that has links to the 5x5 on madcow's site where you can download excel spreadsheets?

I have a somewhat unpopular feeling about abs that i would like to throw out for discussion.

I've got pretty strong abs but i rarely do exercises that target them directly. my ab strength has come from doing squats, deadlifts, weighted dips, standing DB/BB presses, power cleans, etc. Big lifts that require a strong core. I haven't done an ab "routine" in well over a year.

Anyone else do the same or am i just crazy. And no, i absolutely don't have good genetics :)

You're a beast onebreath ;-)

Your abs act to produce force (for lifting), it stabilizes the body to permit other musculature to produce force (during running or endurance activities), and is also called upon to transfer energy (during jumping). Now, if you have a strong abs (and I know where you got yours from prior to lifting heavy), great - you probably already excel at these things. However by training your abs you can increase your lifts and endurance. It can be a good addition to a training routine, depending on your goals. For example, I used to have a crazy strong lower back and abs from dance. I have been lifting heavy for a year and not really focusing on core work. I can't do the same moves that I could do just a year ago when I used to focus on my core although I know my abs are stronger now due to my lifting. Also, my abs had to become strong before I could squat 210lbs - not the other way around.

Your abs also act as a solid block on which the chest cavity sits. Watch sprinters, see how stable their torso is? Ab work.

So in summary - if you are a beginner or endurance athlete ab training can be crucial.

This discussion could go either way imo. Focusing on the core lifts only will supply plenty of stimulus for abd/low back development.

I feel there is a point were additional abd/low back work will help with these core lifts too. I kind of look at core work from a powerlifters perspective. My legs are stronger than my abds and low back. I will only be able to squat and pull as much weight as my core will support. With that being said... Crunches are for girls...no offense ironwings:)

I train abds 2-3 times a week. I only do things that I feel will benefit my squats and pulls. Standing pull down abds, heavy DB side bends, full contact twists, hanging leg raises, decline "needsize" abds. You can save all that fancy swiss ball 2000 set crunch BS for after spin class lol

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

Airborne thinking position...45lb weight on your back hold it for 2 minutes (my record in the army was 10 minutes) Essentially a pushup position. Tip of your toes but instead of hands hold yourself up with the tip of your elbows hands under your chin like youre thunkin!

Never done a crunch in my life - what do those work again?

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

lol

Crucnhes are what fat people do to get ripped
Oh, yeah...I think I've read that somewhere. Is that what those balls are for? Crunches? Here I've been using them for ham curls to burn out my hams. I learn something new every day. I'm a hoss, I should try those sometime.

A good lower ab workout - lay on a flat bench with butt close to the end, place a weighted ball (I like 10lbs but I know you strong men would need more) between your knees. Hold it tight, it could get dangerous. Lift and lower EXTREMELY slow. Knees are bent the entire time.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

lol

It seems like every over weight person at my gym thinks that laying on some bench and doing some goofy motion is going to make their stomach fat disappear. I have heard quite a few of them talking like this, and this is actually what they think.

That is my biggest pet peeve in the gym.... Fat people. Well, not really fat people, but fat people who do everything sitting down. Seated curls, seated laterals, seated shoulder press... if you are fat and need to loose weight, do not do anything sitting down. Now I don't mean morbidly obese people who are doing good by just being in a gym. I mean people who are maybe 20-30 pounds overweight. You got to move. you would be better off loading then unloading the leg press machine three or four times without resting then spending an hour sitting down doing isolation exercises. ok I feel better now that is off my chest...:)

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

There is nothing typical of that routine or that guy!!! Did you watch any of his other videos?? His leg routine is sick.

I can do full hanging lef raises but all that other stuff is ridiculous.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

The only time when i was serious about ab training was when I did San Shou or Sanda those included some crunches as well but the only thing I founnd crunches useful for was to bedroom performance (no BS).

Now I started abs again on my 5x5 routine.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

okay another question my chest routine licks and i don't know what to add or what to get rid of
here it is:

3 sets flat bb press
3 sets incline db press
3sets flat flyes
maybe the pec deck thing, sometimes i'll try something new but nothings really got me pumped.
I'm bulking so if that matters i dought it does though

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

I like cable fly. Good solid heavy cable fly's Arm's shaking you can really focus on contracting your pec. I get stupid pumps from those.

On incline I am a big fan of Barbell incline Wide grip presses. Some reason those big bars add beef and the wide grip nicely balances out the pec

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

This is the exact ab routine I did yesterday:eek2:

I did this routine just before bed last night. It gets me nice and relaxed after my casein and flax. I don't have a partner to punch me so i usually just superman it down a flight of stairs so each step gets in a good hit to the torso. At the bottom i go immediately into a handstand and walk back up the stairs on my hands (good cooldown for the shoulders and traps). 20 or 30 reps of this is about the norm.

The backflips on the bar are typical exercises we used to do in muay tai. so is the punching on the stomach and the weighted situps.

Yep in foot ball we would use get in a bench press position across the benches in our gym and kick each other in the stomach. It's actually really fairly easy to take a real heavy punch or a board/bat in the stomach if your muscles are hardened and you know what to expect. I will say the leg excersize he is doing is fairly impressive. He NO DOUBT trains his abs to absurdity. He should spend that much time on his shin bones. He has a great build for a fighter though.

PS I saw where someone mentioned something in DC stretches your shoulders out and makes them wider? My chest is jus over 52 inches around relaxed and I need or want to spread my shoulders out to emphasize the V

check out a vid that one breath posted in his DC journal thread...it is a "rediculous" shoulder stretch :D

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

I have started doing a bit more forearm exercise, grip is a problem and I have been going for lower reps. Grip is definately getting better and the underbelly of the forearm has grown loads. Although from the front my forearms look rediculously skinny but from the side look thick which looks pretty stupid IMO. Is their any exercises which will make the forearm wider and look bigger from front views?

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

Hammer curls and let the weight hang from your finger tips say a 70 80 lb dumbell. Roll it up and let it back down. Till it hurts so bad you don't think your setting up for "the stranger" for those of you who know it :D

I like how this thread is coming along.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

whats some good stuff for building lats/ upper back anything else besides upright row to just crush your rhomboids and all around traps. i had to chime in since this thread is gettin type informative!

lats, heavy bent over rows, wide grip chins (add weight for fun).
THEN...throw a couple 45 lb. plates on a weight belt and hang from a bar (wide grip) for as long as you can, trying to work up to 2 minutes. When you get to 2 minutes, add more weight. You should feel a painful stretch in your lats if you're doing it right. Position yourself so that you feel this lat stretch. You'll need to use wraps.

traps, deadlift!!! Go heavy or go home.

Lats:

Heavy weighted wide-grip pullups
Lat pulldowns

Upper back:

Heavy dumbell rows
Bent-over rows (holding weight on top)

Traps:

Heavy shrugs (drop setting)

Try it will barbells and dumbells.

I might try it with 100kg in the near future, that would made half a beast? :supercool

You'd only be 500+ lbs off the one handed deadlift world record!! :D

yeah....

I tried 225 today after pre breakfast cardio. It was just siting there by the squat rack calling my name. Shit didn't even budge lol. I am sure i could do it after a few weeks of training for it. Hell maybe even if I had some food in my belly and i was warmed up I could do it.

Impressive feat of strength alert......lol...I have snatched 135 one armed. With both my right and left hand. Actually imo one arm snatches are easier than two armed snatches. *insert dirty jokes here* lol.

135 it's more than 90-95% of EF pop can claim and it is easier to adjust to one dumbell than two even if the weight is less! After all your body adjusts itself to lift that one dumbell not just the working arm as some people seen to think.

yeh I've never tried it and I seriously doubt that I could do it...my body is not accustomed to such lifts...

that is some hardcore shit!

1003 I think?

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

Well the issue about the one arm deadlift is overcoming the lack of balance that lifting a long bar with one hand produces on your body once you get past the balance issue, it will be easier to increase the weight progressively.

Barbell bro. Honestly, I think that a 135 pound DB would be harder than a barbell. I have snatched the 40 kg kettlebell and that was harder than the 135 pound BB. It is really all about technique and explosion. When you think about it 135 is not a lot of weight, but you have to move fast to put it over head. One arm BB snatches are fun as fuck too. I used to do this crazy shit all the time. no rhyme or reason. OHS, behind the neck jerks, one armed snatches. This is just fun stuff. It doesn't really fit into my training now, but I am very interested in "Dinosaur" training and grip strength. The family usually has feats of strength after we air our grievances for Festivus. lol

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

Does Andy Bolton still hold the record? I don't keep up with what is going on in PL anymore. I used to get Monstermuscle and PL USA every other month.

That's powerlifting rules. I believe that's correct and Andy Bolton holds it.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

SL has sick strength

Benching 415 is sick stength!

At the time I was just very fast and explosive. Dynamic effort squats and plyos had me dunkin a regulation goal at 5'10". Bodybuilding has made me slow. I can still hang from the rim though lol

behind the neck jerks??

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

behind the neck jerks??

Basically a behind the neck push press, but with a wide "snatch" grip. I did these mainly as a support lift for overhead squats. My OHS was limited by the amount of weight I could get over my head. Not my flexibility or back/shoulder strength. This is the best lift for putting the most weight over head imo. OF course I never got anywhere near Traz's 315. That sick bastard

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

I am really still trying to put together a 5x5 routine of set of excersizes that will work the muscles that are weakest the most. obviously squats have to be 3x a week from what I read but my shoulders and back are lacking alot more than chest...even if I really want to hit 3 plates on chest naturally before I cycle up from there. Right now I don't know what my 1rm is but my last workout was
Excersize 1 squat
225x5
245x5
275x5
275x5
295x5

Exersize 2 Deadlift
275x5 3 sets
295x5 2 sets (last set on lockout grip failure

Exersize 3 Behind Neck Press Seated no cheating back arched and ass against the pad
115x12 Warmup
135x5
135x5
145x5 last 2 I was cutting rest between sets. Failed on a set at rep 3 I deleted that set and continued with 2 more sets 1 minute rest
155x5
155x5

Barbell curls

95x5 strict
110x5 strict
115x5 strict for 3 sets....ok last set I was swinging maybe a little. 5 seconds on negative

When I do chest: Typical chest right now as I am not focusing on chest strength is dumbells 5x5 90s to 100s to 110s. Then incline then cable crossovers 5 sets on each crossovers are 3x10usually reaching failure on the last set. I might do that on a monday or tuesday.

That's what I have going for now. If anyone has an idea to balance that a little bit? Madcow or anyone really. Strength and definition are hard to gain together naturally.

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

K for that video...that bard didn't have a chance and graned the first 12 inches of the lift were just bending the bar before he got the full weight up but...Make no mistake that just got me pumped for a workout..

Check this one it's less weight but more "intense"...

My girlfriend and best friend workout with me and they both says that it seems that my eyes are going to pop when I do squats lol.

The only ritual I have is when I do squats, I shoulder bump the bar so I can feel the weight acomodating...

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

WOOT whatever that squat and deadlift combo day did that wiped me out for almost a week....Sent my best 5 rep max to 315x5 reps x2 sets...Personally I am a looks like my face is going to rupture kind of person...When I got done with the 2nd set of 315 my neck hurt...Like my jugular was pulsing lol It felt GOOD!! and I added the barbell 20 rep rows to the end of the 5x5 work out. I did 135x5 185x5 205x5 225x5 135x20. Anyone have tricks that help get the dumbells up? I am doing inclines with 100plus now and frankly it's get's tough trying to kick the dumbell up to my shoulder. Get the other dumbell up to my shoulder then lay back.

I like screaming when lifting

PS I scream when I am all by myself...such beautiful times!!! all by myself!

Re: Bodybuilding Routines: Post Your Bodybuilding Training For Help With A New Routin

Holy shite.. I would feel like a totall pussy using those...Except...Frankly...That is just awesome. The reason I hurt my shoulder was trying to get the 90s up on my shoulder before laying back. I twisted myself a little getting the second one up and laid back my left hand dipped a little too far and I strained it holding the weight up.

Lay back Piss everyone off waiting for a bench press and just enjoy the reps. Re rack your dumbells and get ready to roll for another set!!

ps the question about excersizes added to the 5x5 per routine question..totally bypassed lol. I'd like to get madcow in on this. I am trying to stick strictly to the post. But that would end up leaving me short in some area's that I am weaker. (back and shoulders) Doing squats AND deadlifts just wipes me out..Anyone else feel this way?
