best weight training options for newbie

22 years old and I’m looking to get myself setup for a workout split. A friend suggested full body training or split routines. There are full body workout training 4x a week. 3 day splits, 4 day splits and 5 day splits where you rotate. What would you recommend that I look into doing?
 
I would try something like 3 day splits. that would be simple to follow
 
Learn the basics on proper fundamentals. You should be doing proper form.
