Overall, Microsoft and Sony delivered, while Nintendo fell flat.
I won't even show any Nintendo stuff, the highlights of which were a multiplayer remake of Mario Bros. a new Mario Galaxy and a "Vitality Sensor", all for the Wii. The vitality sensor is supposed to record readings on the inner workings of the user's body, and will somehow apply to gameplay.

E3 is fun but it's too full of fanboys -- even with all the new changes, fanboys still come in to swoon over hot chicks who don't even care about gaming.

That's probably why they did such a restricted show last year. Now they want to go back to the full blitz and fanfare from earlier years. Gaming (or should I say interactive entertainment) is making huge strides though; mark my words it will be bigger than movies someday. Financially it's already close.
