So I do the 5x5 for bench press. What is the best for military press? I wanna start doing them more religiously. Is there a 5x5 for that? My max would be like 140 150 at MAX.

Bill Starrs actual 5x5 program includes Bench,Squat,Row,Deadlift, and Military Press.

Should find his spreadsheet in the sticky on top of this forum called the training vault.

You will see incline bench on the spreadsheet but you can swap it out for military press.

Take your 5 rep max (I'm guessing 120), decrease by 10-15% (optimal is 12.5%) for each previous set. Other than that, good.

If you did that and those are the numbers you got, just even it out a bit. So something like 70, 80, 95, 105, 120. Something like that.

dont call it military,
its called The Press
if you must
you can call it overhead press

i overhead press on wednesday
last did 180lbs for three sets of five
on mon and fri i bench instead
using overhead for a break

but at my highest clean and press, 205lbs for a single
i actually did when my shoulder was injured
i could press
but i could not bench or dip
so i did

Mon - Push Press, six sets of three
Wed - Overhead Press, two sets of five
Fri - Clean and Press, test your might!! (1RM)

the clean isnt necessary, i guess
its just damn cool

why not? that's what it is, the military press.

the military press is like The Press
but with feet together
i dont like it
and no one ive seen does it

so to help a stuck press i think bench press helps
and of course, heavy push presses help

recently i added weighted dips
i have noticed a visual difference in me tris
havent noticed a difference in my press though

let us know what you try and how it goes

im a fan of clean and press..

I am in agreement with all that you have said.

I found the push press to be important in building strength in the static press because it makes the weight feel lighter before you begin pressing and when locked out overhead.
